Do you have Samsung A40 with dead battery and you need to know how to change it?

There is a very important piece missing from the start of this video... REMOVE THE SIM CARD TRAY FROM THE PHONE BEFORE STARTING!! I didn't and have just wrecked the sim tray getting the middle section off the phone.

I have experienced the same problem... The tray is bent now and I hope it will work but I would rather avoid that guessing in future.

Dear Samsung, why not click off back cover in instead of melting glue ?? So if my battery wears out, i have to use this un-consumer -friendly method to replace battery ?

No, no. You are supposed to bu a new phone each 18 months (® Samsung).

Try it... worked for me! I didn't even have all the items (tools) used in this video! cost me £5.99 for a battery!

Brilliant! Worked for me! and I didn't have a suction thing like that, a prying tool like that (had a different chunky one) no alcohol to remove battery and also no glue/sealant!. Thank you!!!

Thanks for detailed guide, for temperature of hot air gun. Some other videos doesn't tell you temperature. Imagine someone will use 300 degree celsius... xD

What happened to the days of easily prying off the back off the phone and the battery is easily accessible and just pulls out? Samsung have seemingly designed these phones to be thrown away when the the battery stops charging.

Similar 'gluing process' for Nokia. Not sure WHY. I had a Nokia 8.1. - cracked screen. Take back off. Place new screen and cracked it trying to persuade it to re-establish as it had been previously. Used superglue. Charging port now seems damaged - hence Galaxy A40 I purchased a 'Refurbed' product(A40) but battery seems worse than expected / stated hence considering option of battery replacement

It's not that hard..took me less than half an hour and I didn't have all these items!.. iphones are sooo much harder!!

Try a 4½lb lump hammer. That should do it. 😅😅

2000 стоит замена батареи, проще самому её поменять, там ничего сложного , главное аккуратно и лошадей не гнать

So it is working when I replaced battery, but the screen is not working

replaced the battery and now I have no 4G network connection after assembly. WLAN is working, but no 4g connection, so it is not possible to call somebody. The phone always shows the error "Not registered in Network". Do you know why? Before disassembling everything was ok. I also double checked all connections.

Try new sim card, had this annoying mesage too, new sim card fixed this issue
