You seem to be the first person to have done a proper video of these devices. Well done! They both look great and Samsung is coming out strong! Having the 1380 in the A35 was a genius move because it brings Snapdragon 778G - like performance to the 350 euro/dollar market. Add to that all the other features + OS updates + walk-in service + accessory availability and Samsung are the best choice at these price points. And even below - the F14 and A25 are also very strong options.

I hope in the A56 they would upgrade the main sensor to a 108MP to achieve that 3x lossless zoom and remove the macro.

Samsung A54 was already quite bad in camera quality but now you suggest they get even worse by removing the Macro lens? I just happened to take awesome Macro shots today with my Xiaomi phone 🥳. But actually China owned Motorola is the No. 1 doing it the best possible way: 2 lenses can do what 3-4 lenses (only good main sensor) try to achieve on Sammy A54. Motorola Lens 1: main lens on Motorola Edge series is superb for photos and portraits. Lens 2: ultrawide lens on Motorola Edge models comes with autofocus, takes ultrawide photos BUT it serves as a great quality Macro camera too 🎖️🏆. All that with just 2 lenses! Samsung still needs 3-4 lenses trying to achieve the same, but of course their Macro lens is so useless on all Sammy A series as you clearly have experienced with your own eyes. But the A54 ultrawide lens isn't terrible, it's serviceable at least in some good conditions.

Hi ISA 👋🏻💗. A55 has a glass back and now a metal frame. The big question is still : Is it slippery to hold, like a piece of soap 🧼🤌🏻? If yes, does it really matter that it's made of premium materials? If it's slippery like soap it must be kept inside a silicone TPU case resulting in a plastic feel anyway. Is vegan leather, like on many recent Motorola phones, the best option if I want to get a premium feel, with a decent grip, without using a case?

I am glad you mentioned it is light! But 6.6 is just too big. I hot small hands too and I won't be able to hold it in one hand geez. I use A51 which is 6.5 and fits comfortably while A22 at 6.6 is a horrible experience 😭

Don't know what prices are like where you're at, but you can get a 1 year-old used s23 for the price of one of these new -- so get an s23 if you can, and you'll have a small phone that's a lot better.

Yes, if You wanna NEW phone with bigger battery than 23. If You wanna better photos You need anything with csmera api lvl 3 like s23. This a55 is api lvl limited that means google camera work badly or no work.

Nothing Phone 2a's Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset may be much better than Exynos 1480 of Samsung. Yes, I could tell. But I love the classy design of Samsung A55, as well as the camera and the screen (albeit the thicker bezels).

Nah, A54 images are oversaturated and have yellow tint on human subjects

@Andronicus2007 Nah, I'm comparing it to its predecessor A52/A51 which has better image output. A54 images became yellowish when it was updated to UI 6.0 from UI 5.1. Read the forums for A54 so you know what's going on.
