Quite a few people getting their heads in a spin over the ring. If you don't want it, don't buy it. I've ordered it because while I do have a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, I don't want to always wear it to keep track of my metrics. I have quite a few mechanical watches ,I'd like to wear to work and on other occasions, so the fact this ring can be worn with them is ideal. Wearing the ring while I sleep instead of my watch is definitely a big plus for me. If it doesn't fill a need for you, that's fine, but there are other people out there, for who it does. It's called choice.

I'm with you on this one. I have an engraved watch I got for my 21st but I never wear it anymore because of my galaxy watch. The ring would allow me to swap around.

The double pinch will be extremely useful. It can set up to answer phone calls, delete email, dismis notifications, zoom in/out,....its up to Samsung if they want to implement more features.

the value proposition of the ring feels low to me at this time. Samsung suggesting wearing a ring +watch = better reading is akin to suggesting we wear one smartwatch on each wrist. (which begs the question, why is accuracy poor in the first place). ;)

It can also be smartwatch vs ring. Some people will definitely prefer the ring. Also, having two devices measure health metrics gives you more precise readings. Health is very important so I definitely see the value proposition

Ordered the ring immediately! Well the sizing guide first. I wasnt gonna get a watch cause my Watch4 classic is still good but the white titanium ultra looked so good i got it. Also ordered the pink Fold 6 but i am definitely not getting the buds i hate stick buds my technics are still my go to

I pre-ordered just for the sleep tracking I have never found wearing a watch to track sleep comfortable. I like wearing some nice watches to special events with this I will be able to now . I hope they never put a screen on it it would completely defeat the purpose of a ring I do hope they start giving customized options like engraving and making it sleeker

Does the ring lose all of the tracking data if your phone isn’t nearby? Does the app just consider that dead time? Or does the ring remember that data and transfer it when the phone is in range?

Great video, thank you! Question... Samsung says the sensors should be on the palm side of your finger and when I wore my sizing ring for 24hrs I found that the ring rotated quite a bit, to where the sensors wound up being on the side of my finger. Did you run into any issues with that?

not sure if it was mentioned but when it comes to sizing it's good to consider if it will be used for work outs as our fingers get slightly bigger when the blood starts flowing. It may feel ok when putting it on but will get tighter as you go, I personally hate this feeling and I never wear rings on hikes or any exercise.

Yeah, it uses both sensors to get the most accurate results, or you can have it disable the sensors on ur watch to save battery

Would be a must buy for $100 and a great buy at $200. But at $400 it's pretty much e-waste in gen 1 stage. Definitely needs an OLED panel on the front for time, weather or activity indicator. Might be a solid buy in 2-5 years of advancements

The ring sizes for these galaxy rings are different than conventional ring sizes. My normal ring size is around a 7.5

I doubt the ring would use more battery for "tracking" more workouts... The ring only collects sensor data. The phone itself then computes the data to output results. The ring itself is completely passive. Battery drain should be consistent the only big battery drain would be syncing the ring with the phone.

Aaaah, thanks for showing us the fit of the ring on your finger, as the ring has a (Thickness Problem). Your the first one online to point this out. Also, Samsung has a history of inaccurate readings, which is another reason why I'm on the fence.

Samsung's health-tracking products always measure sleep too bad. I don't know how accurate it is, but regarding it was a good night, It always detects some wakefulness, shorter deep sleep and more REM. Typically at least 30 minutes of awake a night! That alone gonna drag your sleeping score way down and may obsess you why did you sleep felt really good but the overall score was bad. I transfer to a Garmin watch and notice way better sleep tracking. Hope they can fix this in the future and the battery as well :) as I really like their product (I have been using 4 galaxy watch generations till now). For me, it is more like a tech watch than a health-tracking device !

the thing about this ring, you want the biggest size that will fit you if possible. because the bigger sizes will have a longer lasting battery. however, you can't ignore comfort and preference. But as long as you are aware that the bigger size have more battery charge, then fine. just wanted to point that out in case some people did not yet realize this.
