I moved from a S21 Ultra to the S22 and I am very happy! I was tired of having my gym shorts falling down from carrying the massive S21 Ultra. The S22 is very high quality, doesn't give a black eye if you drop it on your face in bed, doesn't pull your pants down, easy to use with one hand and all around excellent! It was my first "smaller" phone since the HTC One in 2012.

I have a hobby of street photography, so having a large display is very convenient while editing pictures on Snapseed and Lightroom. This phone, just won't do it for me. 6.67" is my preferred size, so I think I'll settle with one of the 2 FEs out in the market currently.

Just got mine yesterday. I am enjoying it. Not as bulky as most, lightweight, gaming is fun(with the performance features active) battery takes some getting used to but, activating certain settings can definitely make it last longer. Turned on out of the box at 45-48% and 7hrs later it dropped to 15% with discord, KZfaq and some pubg gaming. Overall I'm very happy with it

@@gtviraj power save on, dark mode, there's an extra feature called extra dim that's on as well, and turn the vibrations off for keyboard and ringer, also I do keep my refresh rate at standard(adapti e not used with power save on) Any app that has dark mode activate also. If you do use your phone for gaming and a lot of media it usually takes a week or so brand new to learn your patterns and will adjust accordingly. Still get great game performance on pubg and apex. The battery will drain with high quality graphics and performance mode on when doing so but that's to be expected. But overall good for 3-4 matches without too much drain

You are right about the battery being the weakest part of the phone but I am enjoying using it just as you are.

To update, I'm not enjoying this anymore. In fact, it's becoming a burden. The speakers have repeatedly malfunction when I change altitude. When I touch down from a flight or descend from a mountain, the speakers start to produce a crackling sound which is extremely frustrating when I need to contact my taxi when I arrive at a destination. It goes back to normal after a few hours but I firmly believe that @Samsung didn't mean for it to operate this way. I've already had the speakers changed once and the problem resurfaced after my very next flight. I went back to the service centre and was told that diagnostics did not detect any fault in the speakers. This is not a plug but if you are interested to hear what I mean you can check out my twitter account. Such a pity because it's a good phone otherwise.

With that kind of endurance, don't expect it will last more than 2 years. It will be reduced to less than 3 hours after many software update.

There in battery settings should be a fast charge and a super fast charge option. That will let it charge faster

Putting most your apps to deep sleep seems to help battery last tremendously. I've done this to apps I don't use or rarely use.

You can just set it to put apps to sleep automatically, I prefer this method. I only manually put apps to sleep if I see they are running processes in the BG.

I.bought s 22 which died almost everyday at work after 100% charge while leaving home, it last 5 to 6 hrs for me and bought it brand new and updated. Sold the phone next week and got my self ultra which is better in every way possible.

You can use the phone as long as it works and apps will download. It's not recommended using it after security updates stop being sent to the phone.

Bro something must be up. No way is it taking that long! I got mine both on the 4th, which is almost hitting 2 weeks now. Price I got is with EPP a friend of mine shared it. EPP gives 20% off all models, but with no free gifts. Figured I rather save $$ than trying to sell free gifts 😁

The only reason I did not get the regular S22 was because there was not a 512GB option. So, I purchased the S22 Ultra. I like the S22 Ultra, but I want a smaller phone (6.1") with 512GB storage option, UWB, nice color, heat management and great battery life. Cameras are okay for me, but a great SOC and a great radio are more of a concern for me.

@@adamlipman1930 I had my own videos I store on my phone, such as family pictures, I have ebooks and audiobooks. I have movies and a lot of apps that I use for my work and for my personal use. My phone has almost replaced my computer use. I love this Z Fold4. Because when I fold the device it is smaller and easy to hold/carry, but Samsung needs to make the outer screen the width of the smaller S22 or close to it. More app optimizations are needed. The PPI for the display needs improving. Bigger battery and better camera. Also, better heat management.

5:43 i still sees wobbly in video recording. Suggest video maker get 13pro lah i can usually zoom and have better image stabilisation. Reason is apple move the sensor not the lens

For RAM actually 8GB is more than sufficient bro 😁 For storage I suggest at least 256GB. If you want 12GB RAM/512GB, then you'll have to go for Samsung S22 Ultra 😊

I tested this phone at the mall and thought "why so tiny?" Then I went to check the size of IPhone 13 Pro Max and thought "this phone is huge" until I compared it with my Nord 2. No wonder the S22 feels tiny.

Maybe I should get the S22 Ultra for the zoom. I've been scratching my heads about this. The S22+ does seem like a more compelling deal tbh. Also I heard that Samsung also skimps on third party charger so that only their charger support fast charging. Worst still? 45w and 25w do not make a single difference in charging speed whatsoever according to GSMArena. So better just buy a 25w charger and be done with it.

Yeah man if zoom is a must the S22 Ultra is the way to go. Otherwise, just the vanilla S22/S22+ will work. I sold my S22 Ultra and am thinking which to keep now. Pretty bumped about the charging thing tho.

@@LimReviews NGL the S21 Ultra had better design and seeing a Note design with minor upgrade isn't ideal especially after slapping big weight in that. Maybe I'll check in store how the S22 Ultra feels and see whether I can get the hang of it or if I should just get something else.

Buy the 45W charger which is the EP-T4510 one, the deliver of the charging is different from the old 45W one, check SamMobile's charging test recently

It's not necessarily that the device is so small, it's the fact that they know good and well that they could've put a larger battery inside of it. No headphone jack, no card slot, the processor keeps getting smaller and smaller. Then they give this thing a mere 3700maH cell?

As regular user i want compact phone, and comparing almost same price (EU) what is better option s22 or 13 mini iphone? Camera and battery life is very important, don't play games and wach movies etc..

Well, the 13 mini has better battery life, but worse display. The cameras are equally good, but the iPhone has a little more saturated colors and doesnt have any optical zoom lens (only main and ultra wide). Both are great phones.

No it will not. However I've put most apps to deep sleep mode and it has helped battery last longer. I don't game but I do watch some videos and mostly work related stuff and hotspot (which usually eats battery life).

I'm using s20 with 4000 mah battery it has been degrading after the updates. This 3700 mah of s22 will not past with 8 gen processor so don't buy it.

If you're from Malaysia try to look around for EPP discounts. They're 20% off but without free gifts. Technically if you want the free Galaxy Watch, that deal from Samsung itself is also quite sweet.

Hey Felix plz reply. Yesterday I purchased s22 snapdragon 128 gb and after 4,5 hours whenever I open camera it starts heating in 1 minutes and after 1 minutes it's overheating and it's only happen when I open camera for pics and video calling. Should I wait for battery optimization

How about the battery of vanilla S22? Is enough for a day? How many hours screen on time?

Good enough for 4-5 hours of SOT depending on usage. If using for just social media and messaging, good to go. If you do a little bit of gaming, youtube, and GPS, will drain a lot.

@@LimReviews Thanks. The problem is that if the use is not by Wi-Fi but by 4G and the coverage is not good, the screen time can go up to three hours, is the same that happens to me in other Samsung devices

The exynos version is slow and rubbish.i have moved on to a Xiaomi 12 and never looked back.

I had the same dilemma. I was going to keep my s10 and get a cheap sim now my contract is up, but found out about the security updates not going on for much longer. Just ordered a s22 in early black Friday deal, 258gb storage and unlimited data for £30 a month in England. It will be worth it, the s22 is better in nearly every way, only downside for me is lower screen ppi, but I've heard you can't notice.

ada baca kt beberapa youtube reviewers, mula2 memang cepat habis. lama2 nanti lepas phone tu belajar patern penggunaan phone kita, nanti jangka hayat bateri akan bertambah baik

@@MFahd-gl1dt betul tu...so far dah guna dekat seminggu ni. Nampak ada changes, battery ntuk normal usage boleh thn sehari. Klo stakat guna whatsapp, browsing2 sikit dan call biasa2 boleh tahan smpi the next day. Nasib xjadi jual hahaha

This is an honest review, noticing micro stutter is one of annoying experience. It costs almost a thousand bucks but still having micro stutter. That's why Samsung will never move past Apple. In my country, not even single reviewer said anything cons/annoyances about this device.
