S23U is fascinating me. Have this one and OP12 here and cannot decide which one to keep. Had the OP6 and OP 8 Pro before and the OP12 feels like home, but on the other hand trying something new is fun. Both are at the same pricetag since the S23U is refurbished.

Thank you for the video! There is one bug in the animations and multitasking menu on the 23 Ultra. Open the application, close it and immediately, when the icon does not completely return to its place, open the multitasking menu and it will not open, and the animation will twitch. I would like to transfer this to Samsung somehow. I can provide a video.

VST, I would have a little suggestion: do you think it would be possible to take one single picture with both phones after the updates? It could a very simple photo, always the same, like a piece of paper on the wall, or anything else. Simply to see if there is any processing changes on both phones (noise, details, exposure...). Just an idea like that. I think it could be very interesting (and it would not take you too much time, unlike a camera review). Thank you again :))

It's a good idea, but it's very hard to replicate the exact same conditions, lighting, scene...

@@VelianSpeaksTech yes, you're definitely right about that. Especially for exposure; it must be hard to get the same condition. But I suppose that for chromatic aberration, sharpening, noise and general processing, this kind of test could show if there is a (significative) change. Even for the s24 ultra, I'd curious to see if its processing will stay the same, improve or worsen over time. But maybe you'll have a better idea, you're the best at that!!!

Velian, have you noticed any micro stutters from the latest April update? I have, unfortunately. The last 6.1 update made my phone flawless. All other aspects work well on my phone. The battery life isn't great but as long as my phone lasts a day, I'm happy. I advise anyone having fingerprint issues to delete you saved fingerprints and create a new one, preferably a second one too from the same thumb/finger.

5:50 this has nothing to do with how the pictures will end up as soon as you open them in your gallery. Being able to press that shutter button 2 or 200 times a second - results are pretty much the same. It's not about speed, it's about Samsungs terrible processing

I found an animation bug that's driving me crazy. It's present on my S23 Ultra and my girlfriend's S23+. Where can I send you a video so you can look into it? Basically, if you exit an application and almost immediately swipe up to open the task manager, the animation skips and the manager closes.

S23u still lags like crazy. It's not the same software experience as the s24u. Can you do the same things on the s23u compared to the s24u? Yes, in 95% of cases with the exception of some AI and camera features. When I switch from my s24u to s23u, its very noticeable that the software on the s23u still isn't on par with the s24u. One thing that always irritated me about my s23u was those micro lags & stutters. Real world use is way more noticable than slowly swiping through two phones side by side.

s23u is a lot better with 6.1. But the fingerprint has always been a struggle for me, don't know why exactly but many times I have to try it multiple times and its not to rare the need to draw my pattern...

Have you tried scanning the same finger a number of times. I found this helped having scanned my thumb twice.

I've tried everything with very little success. Linus interestingly also mentions the issue, but most other seem to not complain too much. Side mounted ones work way better...

with the last update from April they ruined the battery, it discharges much faster, it's clear that they did it with the intention of buying the latest model, plus in landscape mode there is lag when you pull down the control panel, I hate Samsung updates.

You have very low scores on both phones in Geekbench. My S24 Ultra has above 7000 on multicore and around 2300 in single core. S23 Ultra has around 2003 in single core and around 5250 in multicore.

My max on the S24U was 2238 and 6935 with the firmware out of the box.

@@VelianSpeaksTech I have completely opposite results. With out of the box was about 6693 points. And it was the lowest score. The highest is on latest April update. Around 7093 points. This is the best result I got on S24U. On S23U results are very consistent and mukticore is around 5200-5300.
