Very nice video :) I got the 6 + as well, but I figured its the same thing as the note 5 :) Still trying everyday to get the 6 edge glass repair done. No luck. The digitizer sticks to the glass. Very frustrating! Thanks for the tools to by the way. Some of my videos I did some shout outs :)

Yeah... I just replaced my Battery and I kinda of pried to hard to get the battery out and when I put it back together I damaged the Screen. there is a black spot about 1/8 round and some pixels that are damage , they are mixed colors and will not go off. all in all it works and I want to replace the screen or get a phone with a bad ESN and replace the motherboard with mine. Just make sure to be very carefull when removing the battery, damaging the screen is VERY easy!!!

heard that on the note 4 you have to remove the screen from the frame just to replace the charging port...what kind of shit is that. I unfortunately dropped my s6 edge+ (5 months old) and now there's a big ball of dead pixels. I'm going to fix it and then sell it as it's a piece of shit what breaks waaaay to easy!

+MadMike41 I'm still deciding to get one off ebay for 130 (180 from Samsung through carphone warehouse) and then sell the phone (it's good but it's not very robust) or take out an insurance plan and then claim in 1 or 2 months

Macca 95 I personally use Carphone Warehouse's Geeksquad and after cracking my S6edge+ screen with a powerbank, I paid in the money and they sent me a brand new one on the next day. So it's pretty good if you know you are likely to damage your phone. In the long run though, it is quite expensive.

+Macca 95 yup same here, I have a black sapphire edge plus.... And the screen was cracked but still functioning. One day when I was on the shitter, I was playing a game.. And placed the phone one the rug real quick, dont know what happened but it stopped working. This damn phone is expensive to fix, never again!

No scratch test for this phone. I think I scratched it with my stainless steel engineering ring. It looks like the oleophobic layer but I can feel it with my fingernail and can see it in the light with the screen off. I do love the phone though.. basically perfect phone for me.

Hi Jerry, thanks for the video! Quick question - I just poked the top mic hole with a sim card tool by accident. Whilst it didn't break the mic, do you think it could have damaged the water proofing material?

Nope! You're safe. The waterproofing is off to the side of the shaft not at the end.

Dear Jerry! At 2:00 minutes, there is a copper cable labeled "ATT R06 ZERO2_SUB" in the lower right corner of the phone. What is it for? I accidentally damaged the part labeled "ATT R06 ZERO2_SUB" while replacing the battery on my own phone. Can you still use this phone or go to the trash? Thanks for the answer!

Howdy! Thanks for your video this helped me out a lot!! I had the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus since it was released and loved this phone. Last week I went swimming with it and got distracted before I jumped into the pool. I swam for around 10 minutes before I felt it hit my leg.. >,< I put it in rice for a few days but it still won't turn on. I was able to take the backing glass off and it looks like a little water was still on the motherboard (Gold/orange film part). I don't see any rust or anything that looks corroded but it won't turn on at all. What would you recommend I replace first?

I apologize! I ended up just buying a S8 plus. The whole device was in my packet for at least 5-10 minutes while swimming. When I took it apart the whole back was wet not just one part.

Mine got runned over by cars. Both screens are severely cracked. I removed the back glass, but I cut into the top, right metal connection, by the camera. What have I damaged? Could I fix it? Does the glass, you linked, come with the charging connection? Thanks!

Is the gold paint on the back glass panel always going to be scraped off during the prying process. That made me afraid of doing a Samsung S6 Edge Plus repair video after I noticed that.

+Get Fixed Ya, it will. Unfortunately. It is also really easy to break. So I imagine that most people will just end up shattering it when they try and remove it. (There are a few other videos on KZfaq where the guys couldnt get the back off in one piece.)

I'm really interested to mod one of them in the edge frame, but the people who did it used the normal s6 and I'm dying to know if the s7 edge battery could go in my phone. Where do you purchase parts? Im trying to figure out why I am getting light coming from the digitizer from the sides of the phones I repair (not this phone.) I basically trying to figure out of the digitizers Im getting from ebay are not the proper size and there is like a tenth of a millimeter offset or if the digitizer is just not set into the phone enough. IDK, I just dont want to have the light coming from the edges of the phone. It leads to a bad name when I get my company going with more business than I have now.

+JerryRigEverything well I've used screens from eBay and they seem to be fine quality but I just seem to get a light through the edges of the digitizer where it touches the frame. I dont know if that's install problems or digitizer quality

Same. I put it on full heat, high fan, with the dryer touching the back for several minutes to where it was too hot to touch and couldn't get it off.

It is "possible" but is insanely difficult to do..... Here in my city is a pretty high end phone service, but when I brought my galaxy s3 over there to replace the front glass and the outer frame of the phone,they told me, they will do it, but at my own risk. I trusted them, they showed me how they did it, and goddamn, is a long process... You have to separate the display from the phone's internals, put into a solution, wait a few hours, heat it up and slooowly remove the front glass from the LCD,and thenremove the LCD itself from the outer frame, which was really freaky to even watch .... This is really dangerous even at phones with flat screens(especially samsung) and IDK if it's even possible with the s6 edge

my s6 edge was at the repair and they told me it has corrosion damage and so no warranty. The screen always turned black and it was hard to turn on again up to the point where it didnt turn on again at all (no way to do it). Can this be repaired if I clean the board and replace the battery (it could be damaged because of short curcit). It never has touched water, no idea how this could happen but I try to repair it myself if there is a chance (I do some soldering and electricity stuff) . So you think it could work or do you have any hints?

+chibiebil , Sure its dead from the motherboard. Try getting a new Motherboard if the LCD is still fine.

+Ni Gladious Yeah I know its a dead motherboard :/ I mean to fix it without investing much. New Motherboard would cost me 200-300 €. I prefer selling it then. I also get a new S7 in the next few days so it doesnt matter much anymore :/

i gave my gf in thailand a samsung s6 edge.within weeks it had stopped switching on.I have took it to numerous places in thailand but all said they couldnt fix it.I am wondering if the fast charger coupled with a cheap adaptor overheated the phone.Shall i toss it in the trash???

Hi hope u fine. My s6 edge was heating up when i put it in charge and all the time when i use it freezes then off and on i have send it many times to samsung for repairing but they created more issues to the phone than repair it.
