unnecessary step for that when your using genuine replacement parts.

You're forgetting the part were you can also sell the screen if you replace it

Most likely you will need to replace the screen but you can try re-plugging the lcd connector first

@@FixEzy it comes and goes but has gotten much worse now. If u hold the tablet a certain way it goes back to normal but then it comes back again.

@@FixEzy After I remove the screen and re-plug the lcd connector, do I have to put on and adhesive, tape, etc to get the original screen back on or will it just snap back into place? I am hoping all my fix is a lose connector. Thanks.

i don't think so. this is an oled screen so you don't get to separate the touch panel from the screen under it in most cases. moreover it has a built in fingerprint sensor so i guess it makes it much more improbable.

Yes it can be. You can try pressing on the screen gently in a an area where the screen plug is and see if there are any changes

It's due to GDPR. If you take it to an authorized repair centre, we MUST comply with GDPR at all times hence, your data needs to be wiped. It's also because to be authorized by Samsung, you have to follow Samsung repair procedures. One of the steps is that it needs to be in warranty condition, meaning on the latest firmware and tested to make sure EVERYTHING is working (not just the part which is in need of replacement) Also, this guy did it wrong and could easily damage the con to con cables doing it that way

@@robynmills384 sorry but Samsung as well as apple begs to differ, remember its really all about money, and Samsung found if they started making the screens attached to the lcd people will have to pay more money 💲💰 to get it fixed, they used to sell screens and lcd separately back in the day, but not any more, there sold together as one, that way if they break you have to buy a whole glass part and lcd which is even more costly for you but good for the business, the hard part isn't taking it apart, it finding just the glass replacement..they are not easy to find, so yes it can be done, but no one sells em like that any more.

The frame is the structure where the screen is glued and it is assembled directly to the body of the tablet, the frameless display is only the glass screen that you will have to glue to the frame and then to the body of the tablet, depending on the tablet model, the complete frame or only the screen is disassembled 💁

Yes it will work unless the new screen is bad in some way where it prevents it from working. I’ve done a couple of those and never had an issue with the fingerprint

If you are not buying it from Samsung it’s gonna be a refurbished screen almost 100% of the time. Nobody is selling brand new oem parts until it’s used.

Well technically glass replacement only is possible. But that would require a lot of labour that most techs won’t do. And it would end up costing you still about the same. Unless you are willing to learn that skill yourself which is gonna take a good amount of time and other devices to practise on because the first one you fix will probably break.

You need to heat it more, pull with a suction cup in one corner and pry it with an iFlex or any thin metal tool. But be careful not to crack it if the pry tool is too thick

You have to use a suction cup and pull the glass up a little to make room for the blue tool.

@@FixEzy thanks a million I meant to post the update 5 minutes after posting this cause I was able to use the suction that came with it. Now I have it open I'm currently removing the small cracks at the edge of the device. It feels like forever lol. Question I noticed before you place the new screen on you use a air blower. Do you really need a air blower before putting it in place. Thanks in advance for your response

Yeah you gotta be patient with repair. And take your time. It’s like art and you gotta enjoy the process. If you rush too much you will mess it up. You don’t need air blower. You can wipe it with a cloth or a brush. Just shake it and run your finger over the edges to make sure there are no broken peaces of glass anywhere or the new screen will crack as soon as you install it.

@@FixEzy thanks a million again. I definitely will take my time. I really thought it was something I can do quick until I see how much of the broken glasses I gotta remove. So I'm gonna definitely take my time with it. I'll let you know how I do when I get back at it tomorrow. I use the bronze object that came with this order to scrap up the hard/ stick glass part that's still on the edge. But the tweezer is definitely a big help for the most part. I see why you use gloves. I did this earlier without no gloves "not thinking" I still gotta get the glass off put of the edge

@@FixEzy update: I ran into a big problem, so I ordered the front glass only & not with the rest of the components. So I'm kind of stuck right now at this point with just the outer front screen. It's not the whole 2nd piece that you have on this video putting it together

I use iFixit toolkit. And yes you will need a screwdriver to do that for sure
