Looks like it's taking your chair along for the ride. :) If possible, can you post a video of how it handles carpets and obstacles like uneven floors or doorsills?

This robot was interesting one: it has a Ai-based obstacle detection (=uses camera to detect obstacles), but it didn't recognize the chairs as obstacles. Then, it is strong enough to move the cahoes along. But for doorsills, it detected those as obstacles and refused to go over them 😁 But otherwise the obstacle detection worked quite perfectly, as you can see here: kzfaq.infoP0sH0LCe9sU?feature=share

Does your JetBot have any difficulties finding its dock? I noticed that ours is sometimes struggling to dock, spending 10 minutes going back and forth around the station. It always docks eventually but I can’t stop thinking this should be handled better.

Looks like it takes forever. Well, there is still no useful robot vacuum cleaner on the market that is efficient.

You can actually adjust the "strategy" the Samsung robovac cleans the map. In this particular case, I recall, the setting was "do the main area first, then clean the edges thoroughly", which makes it bit slower. But yeah, robovacs are typically kinda slow. Which is why we always recommend to set them operate while you yourself are away from home - in that case, the time it takes, doesn't really matter much. As long as you schedule the vac to operate *every day*, which is the way they are designed to work (unlike the typical "manual" vacuum way of vacuuming the entire house only when there are dustballs size of an average cat all around the house ;-)

@@afterdawncom oh I didn't know that about the strategy. But If I compare it with how I do it... 5 minutes for the whole flat vs. 1 hour of strange noise - gross :D Every year I check the new robot models, but still there is nothing good on the market. I had a irobot braava with a kind of indoor GPS, that wasn't too bad. But yeah, finally more work than doing it by hand. Btw. the same, but with the extra to spend more money. Also these days I am happy to have a quiet environment. And the next... charging a battery when not at home... uh! Guess we'll have to wait for an other 10 years. Hopefully then there will be a good cleaning robot. And an other cleaning robot that will clean the robot vacuum cleaner and a second one that will do the maintenance LOL
