Time to upgrade.. Neato is shutting down their servers at some point, as they have exited the robovac business. Floorplans, etc cease to work once servers are gone.

Your base station has a slight bend upwards. Level it without the slight bend upward and you will be fine

Why is the perimeter wire in the middle of the lawn? Some experimental setup? Or the property line with the neighbor?

Next to the perimeter wire, there were some nasty rocks that werent visible in the video, but close enough to the surface that they could potentially damage the blades. Thus, that sector was blocked off on purpose.

Nope. "Roomba i5" is sold in Europe and it is the same as "Roomba i3 Evo" in North America. So, this one is European i5+. Original i3 itself is slightly different. We've reviewed both models (original i3 and i5/i3evo).

I don't understand why they made the base way louder than the i7 clean base, yet it seems to have worse suction. I wish I could make the j7 work with an i7 clean base.

I think the best way would be to insulate the base with sound absorbing material, regardless of the base you have. Most of the base is empty after all.

Brand new sileno 750, does the same. On concrete, perfect level, wire strait out 3 metres, tried altering the station angle as well as the wire, all to no effect.

We did struggle with it for almost a month, adjusted the base, wire, etc several times until it seemed to finally work. Matter of fractions of an inch to get it hit the charging connector properly. So, yes, it is obviously a bug with the hardware design of the dock.

@@afterdawncom Cheers for the reply, I gave up and took it back a couple of days ago. I gave it 2 months. Great little mower when it mowed. Shame about the docking issues. I’ve gone for a husqvarna which the dealer will install. Need the assurance that my lawns will be mowed while I’m at sea working. I believe the Gardena is a rebranded husqvarna, but at least since it’s installed by a dealer, they should ensure it functions from the start.

I thought you had to have 2 ft clearance on the left and 4 ft clearance on the right (which makes the thing hideous in the home)… how is it working with the base station in a small area. I was just about to return mine because of the instructions saying I would basically have to ditch furniture so my robot could be happy.
