If anyone is still struggling with this, I found a way that's very easy for me. Get a flathead screwdriver, pull the neck enough so you can squeeze the screwdriver in between and just pry it off. Very easy!

I try this way of removal. They are 2 types, remove panel then remove stand or force it out. i reliase when force it out, there is a internal plastic broken. But it is ok u can still use the stand. Recommend this way of removal. The unscrew panel might damage your monitor. Sacrify abit but will turn out not to damage your panel. thanks Tharindu

Thank you bro! Also I can say that u can use some flat item as ruler to disassemly that stand into 2 parts, if u are afraid to break the monitor.

I never realized you could just remove the stand this way, and actually went through and removed the panel… I now have several rows of dead pixels and a lot of regret.

Don't pull too hard, you might break the locking mechanism. Better to leave it, if it's too tight!

The screws are to remove the base completely. You can pull the long part using the unlock mechanism without removing the outer cover.

Is it the same model? If so, it should. Be careful though. If you are not sure, take it to a repair shop.
