Samsung TV Plus is another app in the growing free, ad-supported streaming service space. While not new, the Samsung TV Plus app is expanding what it offers and if you have a Samsung TV, it could be a good fit for you.
It offers hundreds of free channels of local and national news, free TV shows and movies, and even some sporting events.
The service won’t replace everything for you. But if you want to reduce your streaming budget it’s a legitimate option to supplement some content.

Omg! You guys are unbelievable! All the questions I had, you answered them so clearly. I love how y’all spoke at the right speed and to the point! I cut the cord with AT&T today! But that was after I bought 3 new TVs. And switched my internet service to T Mobile. I also bought 2 of those cheap inside antennas for 2 of the TVs. They are working great!! But after setting up my new Samsung tv, all those icons had me a little nervous. I didn’t want to get charged for watching something that I had to pay for. I don’t plan to download any apps, to watch any shows. And I was afraid of the Plus channels. Y’all have been SO helpful to this old lady. The only entertainment my husband and I have is tv. He is bed bound, and I’m his only caregiver. So my time away from the house is to do necessary errands, and can’t be gone long. There’s a lot I know how to do, but these new TVs are new territory for me. So sorry to rattle on. Just wanted you to know how helpful you’ve been!! And I can’t thank you enough!! I stumbled onto it this week. Have a Samsung TV so when i set up my Smart stuff, it kind of popped up as an option. I was SHOCKED. yea it has a bunch of stuff i probably won't use. But there's alot of legit channels. I'm stoked because I'm getting ready to cut the cord (Dish). Coupled with an antenna for my locals, STVP is really nice. Still surprised its free. Thanks

My favorite, free, ad-supported streaming service is regular KZfaq. It's my go-to site for finding old, music videos. And, of course, I love your channel. I'm too cheap to pay for the ad-free experience.

As for me, I like this streaming app, most probably because it is the first thing I saw when I set up my Samsung TV. There is a lot of room to install other apps on my TV. I have all my other streaming apps installed there, including YTTV. I'm especially looking forward to using Samsung Plus TV when I install my new TV antenna in a few days. :)

It’s great because I tried to get my elderly mother to use Pluto TV but she just couldn’t get the hang of it yet it’s basically the same as Samsung TV Plus and that she understands how to use. 😂

Didn't even know I had it until my phone just asked to update it. That's my reason for searching for it. It's really nice to have on my phone if I'm flying or traveling with no entertainment options. Glad to know it's there. Have Roku on my TV and I'm happy with it too.

Thanks for the information. I went out to their website to see if any remote chance the App would play on my PC laptop, but reading the Specs, it looks like only Samsung devices or Android. I don't want to watch this service on my small Android phone, so I didn't go any further or try anything. I like Tubi and STIRR free services. thanks for the video.

Yea, it's really only available on newer Samsung TVs or Galaxy devices. Both of those are solid choices for sure. 🙂

Guys a ? please. I have ATT-u-verse service for the home, computer and TV's. I just got a Samsung QLED smart TV and would like to use some of the apps you talked about, especially if they are free. Before I download them, is there a conflict with I am already (ATT) using for the rest of the TV's in my home. I have only 1 Samsung TV. I am new at this and need a little direction. Thanks for the time and peaking my interest with your great tutorial. .

Ive noticed on apps built in to tvs the lag is really bad such as with a vizio tv did u get that from samsung?.

No, the Samsung tv plus usually has zero lag. In my opinion it’s just a matter of time before they start charging.

The commercials they run are way outdated. They keep running ads for New York City COVID ID laws and for Sam Bankman-Freid's cyber currency business. Is there some type of update I haven't performed? Great guide for this, thank you.

Samsung TV Plus is great, however the Time on the guide is off by +2 hours. Note: the TV time is correct, it’s just the guide time is off. Example at 12:00 (correct time) the TV Plus guide will show 14:00. The regular guide (not TV Plus) will be on correct time.

There is plenty of variety to watch however running the same commercials typically 2 or 3 times in a row is mental aggravation. They need to be a little concerned about that. I get the ads but after becoming redundant it becomes aggravating. If you like watching ads over and over and over this is for you. I would consider a 3 star on content and a -10 on redundancy of ads.

Samsung TV Plus would be great if it were available on other TVs besides Samsungs. I usually watch Tubi TV and some other free streaming services.

It's all right if it would work right. My TV is very very slow changing channels. I have a good high speed internet connection that runs everything else in my home perfectly. Sometimes a channel will change in 10 seconds sometimes 30 seconds, sometimes not at all and it will time out and say there is a network problem to check?? I believe this all started after one of Samsung's updates. I have talked to customer service and they want to analyze my TV through a Wi-Fi hotspot which I think is a bunch of crap. I will reiterate it. It's funny that my Wi-Fi and internet will run everything else in my home except Samsung Plus TV. We are ready to trash our Samsung TV and buy something else. Oh by the way, the fire stick we bought works fine with the TV

I can’t play any movies or anything on demand. I hover over “watch now” and when I press the center circle of the remote it disappears and goes back to the channel I was already watching. I can’t watch anything but live tv.

A recurring problem with Samsung TV Plus is the screen occasionally going black, only to return to the program after 5 or 10 seconds. The problem is insufficient memory for your streaming applications. The simplest fix is to install a 64GB USB thumb drive in the fitting on the back of the TV. Total cost about 10 bucks.

The movies could be better , I know it's free , but the movies run 🏃‍♀️ in repetitive nature. On 1000, 1001, give better movies 🎬.

No, it's only on Samsung devices. It's possible you could see it on your phone. It's best to go to the app store on your phone to see if your phone is compatible.

@@JoseOrtiz-pp1vm Tubi is definitely one of the top choices, in our opinion. We're usually bouncing from one service to the next, but Sling is our default since it's the cheapest way to get ESPN. We're currently testing through Hulu Live as it has been some time since we've seriously tested it.

Best one to use is Freeview Play but you can't get it on Samsung TV's.

Yes, generally, they have nothing to do with each other. :) The only real place they would intersect is if you want your locals integrated into the Samsung Plus TV guide. In that case, yes, you still need an antenna.

No, it isn't worth it. It freezes on one show and it doesn't come back. We have not been able to watch a complete show while we had it. We took it off. We get the news channels without it. I am selling the TV so we can buy another with a better app.
