The Samsung does not provide the exact brightness numbers but can we guess the same using the power consumption details? I noticed that the higher end models uses more power

I am getting 55" Q60D 4K QLED Smart TV 24 Would the fact that it is not the 32inch, mean it could be better quality in some of the areas you discussed ?

What other 32 inch tv would you recommend? Most reviews say this is the best you can get. I don't know If I'm being swayed by all the mediocre reviews of this tv and the edge lighting but I don't like the picture. Its either too dark or too bright or there is a green tint. Tried all kinds of settings. My 10 year old samsung LED 32 inch looks more natural. Perhaps I'm used to it. This new Qled model's picture seems to look different on every type of program. Would I be better getting a really good older model of some brand...if there is one?

I was able to get this for $350 directly from Samsung using my employee discount which is much more reasonable. It’s the only 4K 32inch TV you can buy and it’s about the only one with decent quality. I know 32inch monitors might be the way to go but for media viewing it’s better to just buy a TV. It is wild how this TV is essentially the same TV since the Q60 series inception.

How do you know Samsung put the same care and attention into the design of their budget 32” TV’s as they do for the flagship 98”? Physical size limitations, pixel size and backlighting arrays could certainly incur a lot of compromise on the smaller TV. I am not sure it is possible to generalise across the whole size range.

You're right It's not. the Q60 and Q70 series is their budget QLED series. The hardware alone is vastly different. The Q60D is still using the same 1st gen 4k AI processor and it's the lite version on top of that. Their new QN98 series is on the latest 3rd Gen 4k AI processor. Not to mention the panels are diff the Q60D still uses a VA panel and has no local dimming. Those are just three examples out of many how the QN98 series is vastly better than the Q60 series.

It doesn't help that its still running on the same 3 year old hardware that the Q60A is. I mean, it's still using the 1st gen Samsung 4k Ai processor, and its the Lite version at that. It's really an overpriced tv for its size and outdated hardware. Like come on, i know this 32 inch 4k TV is in a niche market, but to sell it for 500 dollars that has hardware in it that hasn't changed since 2021, makes no sense. You'd think because it still uses the same 3 year old hardware as the Q60A, that they would have drastically cut the price, on these new ones, but nope. With that said, what are you really paying 500 dollars for, a new Tizen OS version? Cause you aint getting anything new hardware wise.
