I reused the old one. I'm cheap. Lol. Probably very hard to track one down anyway. I don't have the patience to wait. I have not replaced that missing spring yet. See my latest video on that fridge. I gutted out the foam insulation because ice buildup and stopped the fan over time. So far it working but got small puddle of water on the bottom due to ice thawing out. Other than that, everything works. I got it for free. Can't complaint. Hehe

Good morning my Whirlpool upright refrigerator/freezer is collecting water in the bottom of the freezer section that obviously freezes. Any thoughts? The unit works fine except for the ice problem.

When the freezer thaw out from time to time, your drain is plugged up by the ice. Water instead of draining thru to the pan, it over flow down in your fridge. Remove the panel and Use hot water to melt the ice plugging up the plastic tube. You can see it from the back of the fridge too behind the cover. There should a video somewhere. Watch it before you tear into it.

Hello, I have a fridge very much like this. BUT the fridge was cooling to 34 degrees BEFORE I THAWED IT OUT. After I cleaned and thawed it the freezer works, but the fridge won’t go under 60 degrees. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I am having this exact issue with my refrigerator. However, in trying to fix it, I also have the white cable that broke off. In what direction did you pull that pin inside of the connector to get it out and solder it back to the white cable? Thanks!
@tonedubb43254 жыл бұрын
I believe toward the wire direction. I think mine broke in half so which ever direction is the easiest. After that, it will slide in from the wire side to put that pin back into the plug.

@@tonedubb4325 Awesome! Thanks for the reply! One more question? Did you use the same connector to solder it back on or get a new one?

What if this problem is happening many times even after fixing it? Does that mean that the thermostats is damaged?
@tonedubb43253 жыл бұрын
Maybe your heating is bad not allowing it to defrost.

It could be the defrost timer

Evap coils icing up on samsung refrigerators is a common problem. Defrosting it will make it work for a while, but it will happen again. You have to replace the heater, sensor and bimetal.

Replaced it and 6 months later the issue came back....its a defect. Im tossing this expensive junk

If the fan and the compressor initially are working, but the fridge isnt cooling, what could be cause of the problem ?

You have a free Fridge but it's a constant problem. Samsung Refrigerators are the biggest POS on the market. I know because I have one in my garage that was in the house until I re[placed it.

I was able use the free fridge for a year. I got my first new Samsung with the touch pad when i moved. I then got a second Samsung with the big monitor touch screen replacing my first one. We just want to upgrade. The reason buying the second was to have an extra fridge in the garage. So the first one still works fine. Hope writing the comment didn't jinx it. So the first Samsung is still running 12 years now. The free fridge of course went up the dump. Keep my fingers cross on my two Samsungs.

You don't scrub the inside with an abrasive. That is horrific. The millions of scratches that scotch brite pad just caused will accumulate bacteria and dirt. Insanity tbh
