I'm not impressed with the volume either. Wish I could install a amplifier and a volume control to get more out of them because, as people say, the sound bar over powers them so I mostly hear it.

Matteo Sivilotti how did you set this up? I bought a mounting kit and a stand neither work. When putting a screw at the back hole nothing fits right

@@paulcawley I bought this stand on Amazon for $40, not the greatest but it works (Sanus Adjustable Height Speaker Stand - Extends 28" to 38"). I had the same issue as you, the screw on the back hole don't fit, so I just used the flat support that comes with the sticky adhesive and just set the speaker on top of it (it holds really good). I can send you some pictures, let me know how.

@@Wananchasqo hi, with the Q70, sounds really good yes, I can adjust the volume too with the soundbar remote. Look on ebay, dont pay full retail price. In my opinion it's a MUST addition to the soundbar, love how movies and PS4 games sound!

This is something I’m going through now. Just bought the Samsung Hw-Q60r soundbar and they SAY it has rear wireless speakers but in all the documentation it doesn’t say what speakers they’re compatible with. I even called Samsung and they said they didn’t have a pair yet. Once I actually purchased the soundbar I opened the manual and it said it was compatible with the 8500s. So much confusing info!

Yeah, that's why I watched it. Seems easy enough, probably. But just hope different companies -- like LG and Samsung ... in my case -- will play nice together.

Turn sound bar off. Theres a button on the back of the rear speaker amp, hold it till the light flashes. Hold mute on s/b remote till ID set pops up. Rear speaker led should go solid. Then power on sb

@@BriansThing Fair enough, Maybe you need another mic or maybe use something like a phone which has a microphone on the top and bottom and have either mic facing either direction for that stereo sound. My galaxy s7 does stereo recording really well and that's just a phone. either way I still bought these speakers and they're pretty fuckin great.

Zac Quitzau seems a bit silly to assume that he’s using something other than MAYBE a stereo microphone to capture this video. People with 5.1 speakers won’t notice a damn thing.

They are compatible with only a few samsung soundbars. Not on others. Please do some research before buying them for ur LG soundbar.

I have these mounted on the wall directly against the back of my couch facing me from either side and I like them. Music sounds amazing. Movies and TV shows that are made with good surround to begin with sound good as well. They are not super loud but can be slightly bumped up through the soundbar’s menu

Did you try changing the sound output mode ? Like from surround to standard or something. If it’s in surround and the sound-bar is not getting 5.1 input, it may not transmit anything to the rear speakers. Hope this helps !

@@oldaccount7463 I hv asked in different forums. No one is giving me the answer. :) I think after rear speakers my 5.1 sound bar will become 3.1 and route the back channel sound to these external speakers. Just a theory :)

I understand it will play the upfiring speakers along with rear in surround mode. Whereas, in DTSVX, it may actually use rear speakers as 4th and 5th channels. That being said, in still looking for a way to get these from Dubai as not available in India. Any way of getting it here?

Well I bought it from Aus. My friend was coming back to India. These speakers really enhanced the surround sound experience. Worth buying

Also I just saw several comments stating there is little to no volume on these speakers while playing movies and only work if the volume is increased beyond 25. I am thinking of buying a670 soundbar 2021 which comes bundled with these speakers. Very less reviews from 🇮🇳 :(

Yes there is a convenience factor that a sound bar provides that makes live easier. I agree a true sound system setup will always sound amazing. I looked up in the instructions if the K850 is compatible model and it wasn't listed. They also have the swa-9000s speakers but I'm not completely sure they will work either. I didn't dig too deep on Google... Maybe reach out to Samsung?

I really appreciate your reply. So today I visited three different electrical stores. In one I purchased the Samsung SWA-9000S/XU rear speakers (at a cost of €300). I got it home and proceeded to try to set it up with my soundbar (included with the rear speakers was a dongle connection to be plugged into the soundbar), the HW K850 does not have a connection to allow this (so bang goes that attempt).Luckily enough the store I bought them in (which was the same store I bought the soundbar in) told me if they didn't work I could return them (we will see how generous they will be). While the SWA-8500 you've reviewed for us doesn't seem to come with a dongle I assumed that might work with the K850. Based on your advise I did go to a Samsung customer forum and saw a thread created by someone with exactly the same problem as mine. Ultimately a lot of people tried to offer advice, but it seems to be coming back to the fact that there are no Samsung rear speakers compatible with the K850. For the price you pay for the soundbar (€850) that really is serious disappointment. If I had known that I would've had this problem I would have paid that bit more for the K950, considering it comes with rear speakers (hence the extra cost). As it stands, the K850 is top of the range from Samsung , bar the K950. Considering all the time, effort and money I've now spent try to find rear speakers for the K850 (and yet not being able to find them), I would've been better off paying the extra for the K950. Right now the K850 feels like a bum deal for the price I paid. I will contact Samsung customer support tomorrow with a view to trying to find out if there are any rear speakers (or plans for the same) that would be compatible with the K850. Once again thanks for your reply.

Yeah, let all of us know. I've got the LG SH7B -- which sounds awesome -- I was surprised to say least. Had a sound system from years back, and (for the price) it was really, really impressive. Put it in my wife's room. Now, I want to get the rear ones like above from BestBuy. Hope it works. But, LG has no output, but I hope the wirelesss or bluetooth will share the signal and let the rear speakers connect somehow. I know you said you paid dearly on those, but LG's was quite nice price at Costco. Never had soundbar but I am QUITE IMPRESSED with how much sound and fullness. It's 360W and 4.1, so it's TOO LOUD if you turn it all way up. 70% was enough for incredible volume in her room. Anyway, thanks all of you for sharing & helping.

Does not work. You can't really improve much from there considering most content doesn't support 7.1 if you're going to add something new might as well look into 5.1.2 for the over head speakers.

So you need amp build in that will create more heat and weight plus it will be bigger , you will still need a power cord , unless you want rechargeable battery which will add heat and even more weight . Fully wireless speakers not very practical .

Turn off your soundbar and plug in the rear speaker to power and you should see a flashing blue light on the reciver box connected to the rear speakers ( if not hold the pairing button untill it flashes blue) then with with soundbar turned off press in and hold the volume button down , after 5 to 8 seconds the soundbar should show on the led panel "id set" the bar should turn itself on after a few seconds and the blue flashing light will go a solid blue. If you want to up the volume per chanel pres the settings button and press up on the direction pad to up the volume to +6 . Keep pressing the settings button to cycle through each channel including rear speakers:)

If you are trying to play 5.1 or Dolby videos from KZfaq, you wouldn't hear the rear sound cause KZfaq doesn't support 5.1 or Dolby encoding. Try to play the Dolby test video from their site, I believe you gotta play that video on Edge browser cause Chrome or Firefox doesn't support Dolby Atmos encoding. Or you could play a 5.1 movie on Netflix or other streaming site.

I looked in my manual and didn't see that model number so I don't know for certain if it will work. The SWA-8000s may work with them.

These do not work with the Samsung n850 bar . Luckily I went with the swa 9000s
