Literally just popped open my tablet samsung tab A 10.1. I unhooked the battery connectors and both the black and white connectors as well I couldn't check the one end of the black cable because it was under some other stuff but I did unhook and rebook all the connectors I could get to and made sure everything was in place as it should be and I snapped the back , back on and the screen was still black when I pressed buttons but I still heard sounds. So I held down the down volume key and power button and reset it and wahlah!!! I had a lit screen! Lol thanks for the video to man just saved myself at least $100 bucks

Smashing, another odd problem fixed :-D. Gold plated connectors should never go bad, but re-seating memory strips in laptops often brings them back from the dead, very odd.

I had the same problem on my tab A 10.1 2016, I fixed the problem almost the same way, but I didn't known about this video, well what I did is I applied some good quality tape on the ribbon cable and fastened it to the connector, I dont have any problems now. Just for a side info, before repairing the tab, when I rub the screen to clean it the picture goes off, hitting the tab gently with my hand brought life back to the display, but fixing the ribbon to the connector is the way to go. Good luck guys for your repair

Dropped my A6, T585 and the screen went black. Following this video I opening up and reconnecting LCD cable and everything works fine again. Thanks :)

My girlfriend sat on her tablet and the picture disappeared. Reattaching the lcd cable fixed it, thanks. Just be aware that the lcd connector port (little back plastic flip) also must be opened and then closed for good seating and connection.

100% thought I finally found the right video- my main LCD ribbon cable came out on BOTH ends & I cannot reattach the one side I cannot see. Any suggestions? Is this fixable? Tablet is still giving off notification rings so I’m certain it’s the ribbon cable.

I didn’t think that it would work, but it did😁on my first attempt I was about to give up. I first tried to remove the thing connected to the battery, when that didn’t work I moved on to the screen, didn’t work and then I tried leaving the battery detached a few seconds once more and it turned on.

What is the white connector cable name??the one on left lcd connector one.

It's a common problem on the samsung tabs, No picture or weird graphics go straight to the screen cable, They unseat so easy.

My problem is similar but the led driver capacitor is super hot and shorting.
