This is awesome. I lost my Dad a couple years ago. My brother and I were both in our late 40s when he passed, but we still acted like 12 year old buttheads when we got together with him. Cherish these moments, boys.

I just cook for both parents almost everyday so when I forget on mother's or father's day I get a pass. We'll trade places, I'll buy the food and they cook it. I get the more expensive stuff than they usually do so it evens out I suppose. 😂

Just over a year ago I found out I was pregnant. My lovely husband loves your show and I said I will make this for his first father's day if the pregnancy works out. I was sick this father's day but I made it today so my husband could celebrate being a dad to our 4 month old daughter. Luckily he loves it the sandwich and being a dad. This was hilarious 😂! I think I am going to do this with my own adult sons…one has no interest in cooking , the other son tries . This would be so funny to have their father watch them cook by me giving them instructions. Their dad rarely cooks so he’ll be the spectator. Though I think it would be more entertaining if he also cooks with them. We shall see if they accept the challenge…Good entertainment if nothing else …hahaha. My gut tells me I better keep it to cheaper cuts of meat and not steak and lobster ….LOL. Happy Father’s Day to all dads!

Love love this episode! At 1st I was totally worried for Sam's arm getting sunburned but thank goodness for our San Diego intermittent clouds. They saved the day! Beautiful beautiful family and an epic recipe. If my dad were still alive he would definitely be eating that this Sunday. Costco had better stock up on their prime tritips! Gotta love watching Jordan and Zach tongs fighting over who gets to sear the tri-tip and placing lobster tails on the grill. I felt for Max, who knows how Sam works and preps, watching his younger brothers get goofy with a $30 steak and 5 lobster tails. What delightful chaos! That said, I’d go to town on that sandwich. 🤤

I'm the oldest of three boys, and looking back at growing up...Yes, Sam, our parents SHOULD have stopped at two!
