Yeah, I watched a video on the tamron and was shocked how loud their 'silent drive' motor was.

I want this lens for my sony apsc to get a 35mm equivalent look, and this autofocus test was surprisingly good

I'm not sure whether to buy this lens or the sigma 30mm for my sony a6300 for a short film. It's for one shot, and I like the 30mm but the 24mm gives me more freedom so I can crop it later. Which do you recommend? Which do you think has the best auto-focus? Thank you!

This may be a silly question but does the vignetting also occur in video? I would assume it does but I can’t tell from the video samples I’ve seen before.

No, I don't think so. 4k is 10mpx, so I think Sony uses the centre pixels from the sensor. There is no open gate either on the alpha line
