Choi San grew up in Namhae, he’s a country boy. Has an older sister and a pet cat. His dad owned a taekwondo place and taught him a lot. He always talks about his love for his dad and how disciplined he grew up as his dad was strict on him, but strict in a way that he always made sure that San would grow up humble, respectful, loving and kind. He mentions a lot that his parents and family is so loving. He moved alone to Seoul to train to be an idol so gets made fun of for being a country boy😂😂His Satoori🥵 He was not good at dancing before, (was probably one of the worst out of his other members) but trained A LOT and now is the MASTER OF PERFORMANCE!!! He loves all the members but is very close to Wooyoung which is one of the most known kpop ships there is. San and pretty much all the members have crazy duality as they all perform out of this world but are the sweetest most cutest boys ever! san definitely gives off masculine dominant vibes but mostly when he's on stage. also like you said he has very strong facial features that make him looks very manly so i think it adds to that factor... he's an incredible performer and by incredible i mean one of the best i've seen in kpop without exaggerating. he has a unique way of performing in which he embodies a character that he wants to portray so his performances are very theatrical. ateez in general are really good performers.... regarding his upbringing: he only has one big sister but he was raised by a strict and patriarchal father but not in a bad way. his dad is like his role model and he always mentions how his dad taught him great life lessons and raised him really well. san is actually extremely affectionate towards those he loves both emotionally and physically, he's very polite, very emotionally open and just overall a sweet human being. he embraces his masculinity for sure but he's not like a toxic bad boy at all, that's more of his stage persona depending on the song he's performing. he's one of the most affectionate members in ateez.
