San Disk's Problade system is built around removable Pro Blade NVME Drives that you use with Transports or stations. They are compact, but the Transport itself is quite a bit lager than the other portable SSDs that are currently on the market, but you buy into the pro blade system in order to use it with the station or to record video files straight to from your camera.
In this video we go over the disk speeds and give an overview of the different models available and discuss if the Pro Blade is a good fit for you or if you should stick to the ProG40 SSD.

I would love to try these out but as soon as you said something about how long will Sandisk support continue to back the device, I'll need to pass for now. but still want to try it out.

The 5 year warranty is great. I need to check in with San Disk and get a feel for it because I would hate to get 10 magazines and then need a station later on and not be able to get one.

I just buy the SSD using on Kondor blue SSD handle. Just wondering if Stiil need that transport case

No you can just get by with the handle and use that as the reader on your computer

The issue is that so many computers do not support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2. It's the least supported out there. Every computer I have supports only Gen 2 (10gb) or TB3/4 (40gb).

Exactly. If the computers supported it it would be fantastic.

a nice thing would be an internal pcie dock for like four of them

I think if going internal something like the sonnet dual nvme enclosure or one of OWCs enclosures might make sense to just run standard nvme with. The pro blades are definitely all about external interchangeability.

HELP!!! Plugged in my Blade into a 2019 MacBook Pro via USB-C and for my AIFF music files, I am encountering consistent gaps or “breaks” during playback. Thought maybe just on load-up, but even after restart of machine . . . still happening. Thoughts on if this is an interface issue or SSD centric limitation? Never issue on HDD either via USB or Lightning.

@@CloAnn-ux8gq so - what happened, was . . . Carbon Copied my Apple “Music” library from the HDD to a partition on the new Sandisk BLADE.

I left the existing music catalog on my “Music” “as is” to find the identical files on the BLADE. >>> This does not work!

Is it correct that a Pro Blade ( alone in a Pro Blade Station ) is the fastest in speed and the Pro G40 the second one and the Transport the third one because it is only USB 4 20 GB ? Where in this line is the Pr Blade in an G RAID Drive ( Mirror or Projekt ) ? So the speed with the Pro Blade in relation to the Hardware is my question
@adamtalkstech
@adamtalkstech 6 ай бұрын
Pro G40 is just as fast as the pro blade in the station. Transport uses dual lane to hit 20GBPS on compatible systems, but on mac it tops out at 10GBPS. The mirror and project have a 10GBPS pro blade slot as well.

@@adamtalkstech when connected on my i Mac Studio with TB 3 - what was the speed for read and write with a Pro Blade in a Transport and a Pro Blade in a G Raid Mirrow or Projekt compared to a G40 - sorry but all is complex - the Project has TB 3 and USB C and HD and Pro Blade Slot … can you explain the speed with all of these

Would be cool if they sold empty mags to use the SSD of your choice.
@adamtalkstech

I don't think they would do that because they couldn't guarantee or test cooling and performance.

Why would you buy this over a Cfexpress Tybe B for your camera? This product seems more suited to backups and large software products (and extended storage for your macbook pro with 512 Gb)
@adamtalkstech
@adamtalkstech 6 ай бұрын
Way more storage for the money for cameras it’s compatible with. There’s a lot of people recording to extreme portable ssds or the cheapest ssds possible and these are way more reliable and better for longer use.
