I have NEVER seen a browns defense like this. It’s insane to watch.

It wasn't exactly pretty, but the Browns held the 49ers to 17 points while they were averaging 30+ a game. Incredible defensive performance

As a 49er fan, the Browns defense really impressed me. It's too bad Chubb went down to injury; the Browns could have been a darkhorse contender in the AFC with that stout defense. As for the 49ers, I'm not sure if Purdy had a history of difficulties when playing in wet conditions in college, but he couldn't seem to grip the wet ball all day long. All in all, this game was a dogfight and downright ugly at times. Questionable officiating against both the 49ers and Browns; in the end the Browns deserved to win this game.

Tough game. But the niners needed this. This isn’t a fairy tale league. Purdy can’t be perfect EVERY game, he’s human. Our defense stepped up, but our offense got man handled by the browns. Hats off to Cleveland.

When this game was live on my phone.. I was disappointed that we lost.. but after awhile sitting on it, I’m not mad. Brock did what he had to do and it came down to a field goal kick which in my opinion why not gain more yards for Moody to begin with? We could’ve inched it more closer. But oh well it is what it is. As the season ramp up, so does the level of the teams. The 49ers were moving confident of being undefeated but the Browns showed that they have a good and strong team. Browns won well and that is perfectly recognized.

Do you realize how many many times we Cleveland fans have witnessed a game losing miss like niners did today ? Not to mention grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory zillions of times !!! Losing huge leads in the second half of games. Also losing every way possible!?!? So nice for ONCE to be on the other end ! But i would trade this win for a victory over Ravens or Steelers any day.

I am a big 49ers fan, but I have ways enjoyed seeing the Browns do well, even if that is against us. I love underdog teams, they are always fun to watch because no one expects them to do anything.

Browns giving the blueprint on how to beat the 49ers. What I learned from this game is that if you can physically punch the 49ers consistently, offense and defense, their mojo slows down. 9ers have to learn how to handle a team that punches as hard as them.

This game was amazing. I was hollering most of the game. Brown’s defense is so clutch but PJ Walker stepped up and could only imagine the rushing yards would’ve been much higher had Nick Chubbs not gotten injured. Wishing that guy a full recovery when he touches the field again next year. What an upset.

Man did the Browns manhandle my Niners. Their run game was just embarrassing the Niners, and the way the Browns defense covered the receivers watching those crossing patterns. One hell of a game, and that defense is for real legit.

This was a helluva game. The Browns Defense really showed up today and kept us close all game. 49ers D is on par with ours, keeping us to FGs as well. But I'm glad we could win an ugly, gritty game like this with our backup QB. When we get our offense tuned up we'll be dangerous later in the year.

I think this is the game that made me realize this Browns team might actually have a good chance at doing something in the playoffs.

Purdy showed he is resilient. No doubt this was his worst performance today against a top tier defense AND still made critical throws as he lead the 49ers methodically down the field, against Clevelands defense. His back was against the wall and playing from, he still put the 9ers in position to win. Thats pressure.

Anyone else in here aware that the Browns and the Niners both came into existence as part of the AAFC football league? It was a league that rivaled the NFL. Kinda like the AFL did years later. Anyways, the Browns won the AAFC Championship all 5 seasons that it was around. The Niners were a good team in the league too. Both the Browns and Niners joined the NFL in 1950. The Browns won the NFL Championship the very same year. So, if you think about it, the Browns and Niners have battled each other longer than Browns vs Steelers or 49’ers vs Rams. Kinda cool.

Fun fact: in 1981 joe Montana first bad game of that season came against the browns.niners was looking for their 8th straight win. Joe had 2 ints and a 50 something passer rating. Niners lost 12-15. But ended up winning the sb that year aswell. Will history repeat itself? Time will tell.

Browns defense is legit as hell. If they can put together an offense they can definitely win the SB this season with that defense.

The reality of the situation is that the Browns Defense kept every single position on the Niners offense under lock and key. They were always in the backfield. Got immediate pressure on passing downs, dominated every gap on rushing downs, and refused to let the recievers get any separation. Its an impossible task for any QB to play up to their standard with those conditions. Jim Schwartz put together an incredible gameplan, hats off to him

Niners offense didn’t play well at all today. Losing CMC, Deebo, and Moody’s misses were crucial. And idk how people are gonna let the refs get away with those 2 huge penalties on the Browns’s last drive. Those were brutal calls. Plus the PJ Walker fumble at the end of the 1st half that was ruled “incomplete” was super questionable as well. Brutal day for SF
