San Francisco is known for having some of the steepest hills in the world while also having some of the best skateboarders in the world. Skaters travel from all over the world to ride San Francisco's steep streets. In this documentary, we talk with real locals and skaters on what it means to be part of the skate culture here in San Francisco, as well as the risks and challenges that come with hill bombing. Legit video! I grew up in SF doing the same stuff in the 80's. How am I still alive?? We traveled the city for the hills. We had wide boards, loved my Duane Peters, Hosoi, and Powell Peralta boards! Im glad young people are keeping the skate culture in SF alive!

@@black.pewdiepie415 Colman sliding is how you stop when bombing the hills of SF. Colman invented the slide in the 80-90's. aka back side powerslide (with one sliding glove). He has tutorials up on youtube from the VHS days.

That sucks crashing into a car and breaking your hand because the kid in front of you is foot dragging the whole way. Don’t even go down it if you’re gonna do that you’re just a liability to everyone else. It’s like people that go way too slow on a highway, it’s dangerous.🤦🏻

This was awesome, I remember the first time my friend bombed down Lombard and thought no one could top that. We grew up in Vallejo and back in 2000 we used to skate down Oakwood Ave just to get to school since walking sucked downhill. Also Doncaster Dr. was a great beginners hill for anything you wanted to test out i.e. long boards, homemade street luges (remember those on Xgames?), trash cans, bikes shout out to anyone in the area that remember this, I'm still doing some speed things, but on ebikes. Vallejo was a really hilly place too more for beginners type compare to SF but watch out for shit being thrown at you.
