This ship is a godsent. Like taking Worcester and giving it workable ballistics and torpedoes. Sure you don't get to HE spam battleships, but with APCS and combat instructions, it really doesn't matter. Also, the ability to disregard carriers is just digital heroin. Suck it, CV mains. Now we just need a legend commander with 6th sense, hee hee.

San Martin line is a love letter from Wargaming to Cruiser Mains. She never makes you feel held back. Her ceiling in power and skill just keeps getting higher the more you player her. Even bad games are your average damage and good games are medals on medals. This line is nigh perfect. I need to go play her now.

The biggest advantage of San Martin is consistency or stability. This ship would not always be the best pick but would not be the worst as well. No matter what you meet in matches, you can deal decent dmg, dodge a ton of shells and support your team. Devs who designed this lovely ship should be praised a lot.
