The thing is, with having a child in between it makes it hard for them because they don't want to separate the child from their parents especially since he's only 4 moths old and needs both of his parents to grow. If I was in the mother's position I wouldn't have even gotten pregnant in the first place and I would've got a divorce faster than she did, but hello counselor was her last resort before choosing to get a divorce now that she has a child with him.

As much as i am angry at the husband but i do need to say that it is good that they have responsible not to be separated... I do not agree that they think the child is the glue but it is living proof that they are human being to think for the child. if they are heartless, they would have killed the child or abandon the child... It is a good thing that they have hello counsel as it is a good platform as a second chance for them to realize who is at fault and maybe change for the better...

Seriously, that boy is so sweet and positive. All the things the mom complained about are pretty much the most minor things a boy his age can do "wrong." Also, she kept contradicting herself. At first she made it sound like she didn't care anymore about his grades since he never got good grades and that it was other things that annoyed her, but then she kept complaining about how he doesn't study. She was just trying to find reasons to "explain" why she treats him that way. I would be SO proud to have a child like that if I were a mother. But even when he was performing, she just had this look like, "lol what is wrong with this kid." You would think he was one of those kids who thinks they're talented when they aren't and was doing some kind of embarrassing performance or something, but no - he has a real dream and he's already working hard to achieve it. I'm not saying she isn't allowed to at least be concerned - I know many parents worry their kids have unrealistic dreams and just want them to have a stable future. But she could still support him. I can tell she's one of those parents who's gonna turn around and be all, "look at my amazing son!!! I love you so much, my lovely son!!" the second he becomes successful and starts making money (because then he can buy her expensive things).

Dyane Kaniko I have a similar situation. I can easily get good grades but I have no motivation to do stuff. I think I'll just become a Psychologist because I'm capable and it provides a stable future, but I feel jealous when my friends talk about their dreams and what inspired them... It's interesting that the boy in the second concern (who I just realised is the same age as me) can be so passionate about what he wants to do. I want to find a way to just tell him that I support him

The best advice I would give to guys is to do a lot of research on the certain things that take your interest . Look for any careers pertaining to certain field and see if it's something you see yourself doing. It's never too late to find your dream trust me .

officialkpopfan I noticed that too, "my mother". His family.... is really good at talking. They were /almost/ able to make the hosts and audience dismiss the sons concerns as overreacting or complaining. Till the end they wouldn't really acknowledge his actual concerns: that he feels alienated and unloved by his family and feels like his dream is being invalidated. For this concern, it's not really the actions of his family, but their complete unwillingness to try and understand or support him. They just wouldn't budge in their way of thinking! To me, it almost seemed like all the excuses and defenses they had to make him look like an "unreliable narrator", like taking him to the amusement park every day or not pressuring him about grades, were little compromises the mom chose to make in exchange for him being the type of son they want. It didn't seem like she did it out of love, but more like a favor that acrues a lot of interest and now she's asking for payment. Like they obviously see and treat him as the odd duck. They don't understand him, and that naturally makes them resent him a little, and only until he makes something of himself will they see him as someone valuable and deserving of recognition and validation. Otherwise, I feel like they'll never be on the same page. There's always going to be that disconnect and distance and feeling like he doesn't fit in with his own family. He's such a bright and talented kid. I believe he's going to become someone great with a very rich and interesting life full of dreams. Keep dreaming, Byeongjunie!
