Sandia’s unique National Solar Thermal Test Facility includes a solar tower featuring 218 heliostats, a solar furnace, a solar simulator, and many other test capabilities. Research conducted at the facility spans fundamental research through technology commercialization that can impact energy and climate security.

What means "climate security?" On the one hand it sounds like making sure the climate is ok, but then he follows that with, "and global security." What, exactly, does he mean by that? Sounds kinda ominous.
