I've lost count of the pumpkins I've crochet this season, everyone seems to love them and they go out the door as quick as I make them. Your pumpkins are super cute, love the colors and I can definitely see the terrarium filled with mushrooms and other crochet plants through the year. I have a jar with crochet toad stools and ferns I made years ago and still love. Your seedlings grew doughnuts. WOW! My kind of seeds. ; ) I look forward to seeing the new lacey blanket progress.

Ha ha, 'my kind of seeds'! Love that. Me too! Thanks so much lovely, yes the pumpkins are a hit aren't they? So cute, and you can bring them out each year, I love marking the seasons and changes in the year in that way.

Sandra, I loved this podcast. The white vintage blanket is a stunner and certainly worth exploring more. In terms of a cotton for your granny blanket, I crochet your Battenberg pattern using Berroco Pima 100 yarn. Loved working with its smooth texture. It is technically a worsted weight 9 wpi I think but might be a good option to look into.

Thank you! And thanks so much for the tip of the yarn, I think anything heading towards worsted weight is probably going to be a bit heavy, but always worth a look. ❤️

Lovely visiting with you again. I think your granny seedling bonanza blanket is wonderful. If you really can't stand it when it's done, I'll gladly take it off your hands! I'm sure lots of people would. Most of us don't have the patience for something that complex. So far the afghans I've made are those that you kind of go round and round until it looks big enough for the recipient! LOL And in the case of my grandson's that I'm working on now, I hope he doesn't have a growth spurt before Christmas! hahahahaha Love the vintage blanket you are reverse engineering. Your brain is amazing. Also those pumpkins and mushrooms are so cute!

Ha ha! Thank you, I guess that's true, I suppose it wouldn't be short of a home if I don't change my mind about it! Oh yes, I hope he doesn't grow too much, it's terrible when they keep grow beyond something and you haven't even finished making it yet!

You’re CAL was derailed by your dishcloth pattern and my incompetence in getting gauge for each different block. Need different size for each block so I put it in the naughty corner. I simply love your pumpkins and mushrooms x

Love the vintage blanket and it looks like your well on your way to a fabulous design for your version of it, it'll be gorgeous. After I finish making all my christmas gifts, I'm gonna make something special for myself and that special something will be your painted roses blanket, I'm so excited, I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and can't wait to have it as a show piece in my living room. Kool, you saw the Panthers play!!!! That's my team, I live in South Carolina :}:}:}:}

@CherryHeart 4 жыл бұрын
Oh that will be a lovely treat for you and definitely well deserved after the Christmas making. Painted Roses is still my all time favourite, so glad that you like it too. ☺️☺️ Yes it was so cool to see them! There were a LOT of Panthers fans too. It was supposed to be a 'Home' game for Tampa, but it was definitely more a Panthers crowd. There were a lovely group of fans sitting in front of us who were friendly and so much fun and gave us high fives every time the Panthers scored. Really made us feel like we were having the 'proper' NFL game experience, it was great!

@@CherryHeart I'm so glad y'all had such a great time, Panthers fans are awesome peeps, lol. We didn't get to go to a game this year cause my dad fell in 2017 and broke his back and he's paralyzed and I'm his caregiver so getting to the big games is a little more difficult now but he goes to the high school games on fridays and watches all his other games on TV. We are a huge football family, highschool, college and NFL!

Hello sandra, I very much enjoy your podcast. The antique blanket is enteresting however to me it seems more like a tablecloth or a curtain because the lace is too open and too light for a blanket. Perhaps if you search for the pattern under tablecloth or window treatment you’d find it. Best luck

Just throwing this out there, could you make the corner of the blanket one triangle with the middle of the triangle being the corner of the blanket instead of a square? That description is probably clear as mud so I hope you understand what I’m trying to say.
@CherryHeart
@CherryHeart 4 жыл бұрын
I think I know what you mean....🤔 I think I was looking at that sort of idea myself at one point. The trouble is you have to kind of curve the triangle sides to make the point which was working out kinda awkward with the filet style patterning so I ended up moving away from the idea in the end. ❤️
