It is true that once school life ends, you can't find true friends. But family relations are also over-rated. Majority of abuse and cheating is done by parents, siblings and relatives, NOT friends. Also the property disputes, domestic violence, child sexual abuse, dowry happens because of family relations.

Sir ur 1000% correct my husband spent all his life outside home going on with friends and giving them first preference and use to spend hours ,on working days and all his awaking hr on holidays ,never use to help in the house thoughI was a working women, now he is 67 I and the children don’t have any love or respect for him. The day he is bedridden he will be lying down there looking up the walls

On one side you are right that friends are just like time pass or time waste and never give us true happiness. Family is priority. But on the other side, truth is after marriage family equations get change Man is sandwiched between mother and wife and dont talk or communicate with his wife because of his parent's insecurity. Ladies makes their own kitty friends because there is no value of her at home and treated like a maid specially housewives. no one is their to listen them at home . Parents will either interfere because they have no work so either they will judge or interfere in home or they have to make their own social group. So friends are also important to keep peace at home. But as you said we should choose friends wisely and not like who ruin our relationships but work as a mentor and create more happiness and peace in our life and also they should be very minimum. Also we should not run away from our family's responsibility.

Friends are important in school and college to hang out with and have fun, go to movies, eat out etc. It's a phase. They are helpful to fill space when one is single. Once you are married priorities do change and family, spouse especially kids take over. And that is a good thing. To prioritize friendships over family is not practical and I agree with Sir 100%.

Sir I respectfully Disagree, Dost vaise hone chahiye jo apko apki galat harkato pe call out kare, time to time apka support kare. There are limitations to every relationships, kuch baate spouse ke saath nahi ho sakti you have to agree on that. instead of calling people to not be interested in friends, teach them to find better friends. Not having friends puts pressure on your spouse to fill a friends role, which is frankly impossible. Teach people a template on how to find better friends because there is one. friends that put you down when you succeed and even worse friends that downplay your loss or pain, get away from them. Don't surround yourself around yes men and have people that can call you out on your BS. Not all friends are bad. Some of my fathers friends treated us better than our own family.
