I started to watch this for Abhinav ji, but skipped through the talk every few minutes, then went straight to Pushpendra Kulshreshta ji's interview of Yati Narsinghanand Sarswati that is trending now! Really gripping talk about current dangers in our Bharatvarsha vis-a-vis the peacefuls. Thumbs up just for Abhinav's channel.

This is the best interview by Sanjaya about his new and obviously credit goes as much to Sanjaya as to Abhinav. Otherwise, interviews on channels like Mojo, TimesNow, Wire etc. have followed typical pattern and in particular, the worst was interview with Wire. Sanjay has scholarly analyzed the topic and put the findings across without taking any ideological position. Rise of Modi is natural phenomenon in Indian politics when politics of minority appeasement reached unacceptable levels with corruption and absence of a strong, decisive, non corrupt leader. OBCization of politics as a trend has been taking place over the years since 70s in politics and civil services. Since democracy is a number game finally, no particular group can hold disproportionate power any more. In this sense, the post independence Nehruvian order had to crumble over a period of time and we have seen it crumble peacefully. If Modi and BJP perform well in next few years and RSS adapts rapidly to the changing times, we will indeed have a new Bhartiya republic very soon. The fate of once powerful but now thrown out of power structure Lyuton's elite is uncertain and they need to find a new place for themselves soon. Perhaps, they would migrate to USA or Canada or Europe where they will form a strong anti-Bharat gang along with Khalistanis and US/European left liberals!! For them, India is now not Hindustan but OBCstan!!

When a M country like Indonesia can whole-heartedly accept their ancient H roots despite majority population converting to Islam, why is it difficult for the minorities in India to do the same? Why must Hindutva be replaced by Bharatiyata to please the minorities? It is not the narrow scope of Hindutva that is at fault here, but rather the narrow-mindedness of those unwilling to accept & preserve the original identity of India.

I still don't get it when he says giving more positions to muslims in ministries. Why only muslim and Christian are only minority in india what about Jains,Buddhist and Sikhs now adivasi of Jharkhand now identify with new relegious identity called saranism. And what about lingual and ethnic minority many of them have their own angst to not being represented forget about cast and now gender is also demanding representation in future may be sexuality wiil. BJP can't create new ministry to appease all of them we have to see BJPs diversity via that lens . As Baru said india is a diverse country some one will be left out the problem will arise if there is a positive discrimination against a particular community .

I just looked up the tuition costs to send a child to Mayo College in Rajasthan, one of India's best schools. The basic annual fee is about 6 million rupees or almost $100,000 Canadian. There you go -- the next generation of the powerful.

The facts that this book was conceived and written in English is evidence of the stranglehold that English continues to have. I cannot imagine that a book with national scope can be written in any language other than English.

He dissects the elites across the past years is what he tells here about his book. But whenever he was asked about specifics his standard out put was “ multi dimensional “ ... or some multi blah blah. When a guy can’t give you an overview of an issue or of a situation, he is just recording the events of his topics with no insights. Not interesting to an outsider who is curious about what’s going on. Plus, such a guy can never predict the future dynamics. Technically, I just found him a normal Joe I come across Twitter who would oppose BJP for borrowing what schemes or ideas from the previous center governments. Well previous governments did not deliver, while BJP is delivering the promise of those schemes. Modi also realizes that he did not need the civil servants to realize his policies. Competent ministers can wield the stick and things can be done. Now “ Bharat” or “ Bharatiya” and is more “ Hindu” specific because its origin predates words like Hindustan or India. Accept it. Hindus will like it. But if you want to be “ pluralistic” obviously Hindutva is more appropriate. If you take the narrative as Hindutva being for “ state of being a Hindu” and any body from the banks of the original Sindhu river as Hindus irrespective of their birth credentials, you are more “ secular” than being “Bharatiya”. And you think RSS just picks up it’s political front as “BJP” and strives for “ Hindutva” ? The reason why Baru ji not getting that Bharatiyta is not different from Hindutva because he is also one of the old Delhi elites. In his same statement he says Hindu means all whose forefathers were hindus and residing in this geography and still he want to part out Bharatiyata from Hindutva.

The difference between Vajpayee ji's rule and now is that the Hindus have become more vocal about Hinduism.So BJP could be bhartiya janta party but they can't go back on hindutva issue now and the appeasement in the name of religion and caste has made majority of hindus frustrated for being sidlined for years.The new generation is questioning all this hence this culture and social clash has begun.

Abhinav Prakash I think you were trying to be a good listener. You could have pushed him a little bit on certain points which were clearly misleading, like the relentless bickering Sanjaya and his friends do about minority rights etc. The complaint that no Muslim is there in the important cabinet portfolios.. For that to happen more capable muslims need to join the BJP and work from grass roots level.. one must not look at the outcomes only, it has to be a bottom up approach..

Baru has so much concern for Muslims and Christians. This is something unique among the Nehruvian elite. No country in the world would bend over backward to accommodate people who literally invaded and enslaved the natives, to such an extent that those following the ideology of the invaders have more rights than the indigenous people. From managing their own religious institutions to managing their own educational institutions which are exempt from affirmative action meant for backward castes. It's like black governed South Africa giving more rights and privileges to whites in the name of minority rights.

Don't Mr. baru think, its little early to discuss about new power elites, when old ones are out of power for just last 6-7 years of last 70 years.
