• Sansevieria Snake Plan...
This is my snake plant propagation in water by leaf cuttings. Snake plant or sansevieria is hardy plant and very easy to grow. And not only that, it's very fun to propagate it since you can grow it from leaf cutting either in soil or water. And best of all it is one of the best plant air cleaner you can have. You can put it indoor or outdoor.

i do this as well, but i always make sure i do it in glass, not plastic, it does make a difference and only put enouggh water in to barely cover the end, very little

It's amazing to know that leaves can produce roots as well. Does it happen to any other plants as well?

Only some other plants do this too, a lot a succulents can be propagated from leaves. But most plants are not able to do this so you should do some research for the specific type of plant if you want to try it. Hope this helped :)

Great information on propagating. I got cutting and put them in the water right away, not knowing to let them dry until the next day. When you started propagating the snake plants, did you add anything to the water? Thank you for sharing you video.

After they start growing shoots I like to plant them in soil to prevent the plantlets from rotting

I have a snake plant (around 12 inches tall). At Home Depot, they sell the same of these kind of plant, but they are very tall, around 24 inches long. May I ask whether or not a 24 inches version of it is still considered a snake plant? Thank you for your help!

Hello! Snake plants or sansevieria have many kinds of varieties. The most common one is the trifaciata.

Hi there! Make the cut wound dries up first. Air dry for 2 to 5 days before putting it in water or soil. For soil, don't water on the 1st week. Then just give little twice a week on the first month. Don't wet the soil. Just moisten it.

Hello! I havent tried putting fertilizer in water. And yes they can grow in water alone.

That's okay as long nothing is rotting. Some cutting takes longer time than others. Just continue to change the water and must not be cold or hot.
