As a disabled person with an Autistic child, i fully agree with this. I'd put my privacy or my kid's privacy second to safety and protecting him from further abuse. This is heartbreaking.

Have to change the law first, it's illegal to have recording devices in classrooms. As a network administrator for a public school district in California, I would love to be able to put cameras in every classroom, but we can't by law. The cost is also pretty insane.

Until the public starts to direct their anger where it belongs, this will never change. It is the teacher’s unions who protect these people. Most of the time the districts want them gone - but the unions get involved and excuse the behavior, forcing schools to either transfer the teacher or face a lawsuit.

Teachers also get hit and assaulted by certain students. It's not always the teacher's fault. I witnessed a student kicking a teacher repeatedly all over her legs, and spitting on her. I agree , she is a monster. I have worked in a company that has a gym for children with Autism and it’s unacceptable. Teach with love, kindness, and patience . I wonder how she treats her children if she has any.

I was traumatised by regular bullying from a school teacher when I was a child. My mother eventually got it out of me why I would come home dead silent and upset. She marched straight to the school and scolded the teacher. The teacher didn't realise that her behaviour was effecting me and apologised and changed her ways :) Mum's are the best!

All classrooms should have a live streaming camera so that any parent can go online and check in on during the day to see how and what their children are being taught and the behavior of the teacher. There have been many cases for years of psycho teachers doing all kinds of abusive stuff to kids or teaching them inappropriate things because they know no one is looking. If they have nothing to hide, then allow cameras in the classroom.

Having worked in special ed class rooms I can tell folks this is way more common than not in public school systems. Plenty of cases like this happen around the country but most go unnoticed or the school district simply doesn't care.

I watch this teacher picking on a handicapped student and it really hits home with me because I was a handicapped student myself and I think about the stories I have watched about all of the teachers out there who are stepping down or thinking of making such a move because of "unsafe" behavior by students. This teacher better be glad that I am not one of her students nor was I one of her students because I would love to risk a detention or something to give her a rude awakening and stomp on her toes to use a figure of speech. With that said, that school better not push it to where the mother may resort to having the child removed from the school and for those who see student removal from school as always a punishment or consequence on the student, let me let you in on something. Every student who attends school turns into government money for the school. Therefore, less students equals less money for the school.

My mother might've been even MORE evil; she not only did the things you say your mother's done, but was excessively brutal as well. She hated my father enough to the point where she kidnapped us and moved us----minus the loving father we as a family had----across the country into a hellhole where she shacked up with an equally evil bastard whose only heart and soul was located in his "richard" (what's the nickname here?!). She was so horrendous as a person that I refused attendance at her funeral....

Special needs classrooms are a nightmare. They're jam packed full of kids that shouldn't be in the same classrooms together. They have kids that are super violent all the way to kids that need their diapers changed. It can be an extremely stressful environment. Give the teachers some leeway when dealing with these kids.
