Loved your video. My children just gave me a float tube and can't wait to try it. Any suggestions for first timer? Do you recommend wearing a life vest ( I can swim but)? The attachments on the side (rod holders) did you make those? Can I buy them somewhere?

Mellymel Melmin thank for watching the video. If you ever decide to purchase a float tube, I recommend you choose one that has a foam seat versus a air inflated seat. However, them gators would put a hole in the tube real quick...lol

Hey cool video bro I bought a float tube ready for them to open up the lake again so I can get out there. When you throw out a mousetail do you use a misquoto hook and let it float on top or a regular hook and let it float to the bottom or a Carolina rig?

Kurt's platt for Carolina rig i use a 1/4oz weight with a #10 mosquito hook. When i throw a drop shot i use a 1/16oz weight and a #10 mosquito hook, distance between weight and hook is about a foot.

johnnymohani it's worth every penny, it let's you get to the fish. If you plan to invest in one, make sure you buy one that has a hard seat and keeps you above the water.

MurkyFishing I basically got the idea of how to build it from other KZfaq videos but not sure what to get to build the part where you can twist to different direction on the top of the holder like you had. It looks perfect and it is exactly what I want it.

Very Nice! Never been to SARL. I'm thinking of taking my float tube out there. What's a good day to go when there is not a lot of people? Have you tried a drop shot rig with a 2" power bait minnow there? That rig kills in The Eastern Sierras. How about any lures like spinners or Thomas Bouyants?

Andrew Cordero thank you bro! The lake can get really crowded, I like fishing on a Friday. The other fellow float tubers killed it on the drop shot. I've been throwing the Carolina Rig and just recently started throwing drop shot as well as mini jigs.

Yes the Carolina Rig works well with Mice Tails sprayed with a little Bang Garlic. I use mini jigs all the time too. Jigs usually always do well. What colors work at SARL’s?Brights? naturals? Any help is appreciated before I head over there.

Andrew Cordero the water is murky but the white and darks are effective, however florescent orange mice tail never let's me down.

Thanks! I appreciate it! Gonna probably fish Silverwood Lake for Trout on Sunday or Lake Perris for Bass, and then maybe SARL next Friday after the plant.
