July 10, 1996 and C. R. is at the Santa Fe’s Spoon River crossing near Dahinda, IL on the transcon.
1) ATSF: 3815 GP 50, 7433 B40-8, GP50 3837, and 4035 a GP 60 are on an eastbound stack/TOFC
2) ATSF 678 & 651 (C44-9W), ex-Santa Fe SD75Is 8205, Dash 9 #915, SD75Is 8233, 3 more Dash 9s, a SD75I and another Dash 9 (some on a power balancing move) head west on double stack/TOFC
3) Dash 9 # 867, MKM/ATSF 5848 SD45-2u, MKM/ATSF 5073 SD40-2 west on container train
4) Meet: Eastbound SD40-2 CSX 8089, leads SSW 8088 a B40-8, Cotton Belt 8375 a SD40T-and SP 8027 a B39-8E going west with containers meet the eastbound scene opener’s mixed.
5) 4 GP 60s with a hot TOFC consist race east.

My goodness! I haven't seen train speeds like that in a good while! I am also not used to seeing GE's move that fast! Lol! (I probably need to get to trackside more often). The Geep 60's certainly put on a show with the high priority train! The EMD's appeared right at home on the raceway. I am sure the GE's were doing just fine too. Lol! Fantastic shots! Thanks for the share!

I realize that this video is old but I'm curious to know what the track speed limit was at the time..?

I'm guessing you mean "power" and if so it was probably a balancing or ferry move to another point.
