Great bike! I recommend it

oh yeah for sure. I have an extra wheelset I use for trail/commuting. Schwalbe Racing Ralph and Racing Ray work for me. 2.2

Comparing it to my Roscoe I noticed a big difference while climbing and cornering, it does feel too long in some tight turns, you just gotta shift your body a bit more forward to make turning easier. Going downhill, cornering is really good, I think I can take corners faster than my Roscoe.

@@ElGonzaloski The new Roscoe 9 is a 29er I had the older Roscoe 8 27.5, but I think the Roscoe 9 will be very similar to that Chameleon, both fun bikes, both would pedal the same. Just pull the trigger you will be happy with either.

Go with the Roscoe, I think it has a better fork than the low spec chameleon what I got.

I hope you were as blown away on your "test ride" as I was on my test-rides. I was aiming for the "AL D" and ended up w/the "R" build. This thing is seriously sick! I have a whole new love for HTs now because of this bike. It really doesn't feel as slack as the profile looks. They kept the stays short enough to get this thing moving around when you want it to. It gives me a little bit of the feeling of my Stumpjumper but in a HT ride. I didn't think it would be this perfect for me. BTW I got the full 29er in XL. I rode the MX as one of my test rides but never really thought I'd go for that one anyway. The MX is noticeably a bit more playful, but I wanted a touch more planted and monster-truck feeling. I can't see going any more than 2.5" width on these tires though even if I had wider rims. 2.5 seems to be the butter zone for this bike. I could see some riders even liking it w/a bit narrower tires too. I'd like to know if you were feeling good on it during the test ride? ~JSV

@@jsv438 I test rode the Mullet in a L (I'm 6' 185). Felt real small and cramped to me. Would have tried an XL but they hadnt built up the only one they had. I'm leaning toward that size personally in 29er singlespeed. Can I ask your height/wgt for considering the xl and what it rides like when you get it? Thx. Great video!

@@benjaminkossick4414 just picked mine up in an L yesterday. I'm 6'1" and much heavier than you 🤣. Size felt perfect and seating position is very comfortable. My 2021 Fathom felt cramped and uncomfortable

It's even better, fun bike all around, from climbing to downhill mode and everything in between, especially jumps

@@paulv8453 Well I have a Trek Roscoe 8 hardtail which compared to this Chameleon is shorter and lighter. But this new bike is more for aggressive riding according to myself :) I have the Roscoe 8 for sale

@@dkbikerides6123 thanks for the reply. I’ve ordered my Santa Cruz but I can’t get it till January, can’t wait. I’m leaning towards a 29er set up off the bat (buying frame only), seems all reviews at the moment are in the mullet form. I hope it rides just as well as the mullet

@@julianmiddleton7294 I don't have this bike but I have a steel hardtail that's similar. Biggest difference between mullet and 29er is speed on flatter terrain. The 27.5 rear wheel just doesn't match the speed of a full 29er setup. When it's steep enough it doesn't matter. But more XC a 29er is faster easier and the mullet is more playful.

I typically ride a large, but popped for a medium and find it playful. I'm not a BMXer though.

I got the R build, low end but I'm upgrading wheels and fork soon
