Today is September 23, 2022 and this song is 20 years old today! A great collaboration between Santana and Michelle Branch which came about because Tina Turner didnt want to do a video.. A 19 year old, Michelle, gets a call to fill in and sings her heart out with perfect symmetry to Santana's Riveting guitar...and what you get is Wow!!!! This is one of the songs that came out when I was in the middle of High School, and I would hear so much on the radio that I would get sick of it. Then I heard it today at work and it made me think of how simple everything was back then. It makes me miss a lot of these songs that I didn't care for back then.

Michelle was the best choice for this song. She has this very unique spiritual rhythm that stabs the soul like a dagger. I went through her 90s to 2000s playlist and all the lyrics and her amazing voice touched me to the degree where I just broke down and cried. I'm also close to losing my dad so I guess that's part of it too.

I have just listened this song when i was buying a coffee at WAWA , lol, and somehow I've found myself lost in some memories of my teenage years, and Santana's solo touched deep in my soul and it almost a tear came out of my eyes, damn, this song is so beautiful and heartwarming

Carlos Santana is one of the greatest musical artists of all time. When you have a unique and distinctive sound, such as the “Santana Wail” from his guitar, you are special. His guitar is the closest to a human voice that I’ve ever heard. When you hear his guitar solos, you know exactly who’s playing. Amazing.

I’m listening to it today in the year 2024 and this song is still so beautiful and good. I remember hearing this song when I was a kid back in 2005. I was about 11 or 12 years old when first heard this song I was in the 5th grade and I enjoyed it than and I’m still enjoying it now a days and I am now in my early thirties. This song doesn’t age.

I agree with you, this song never gets old, I'm 67 and grew up with Santana. He has so much music but this is one of the best and I have fallen in love with Michelle's voice. So even though you are only in your early thirties you will still love it when you get to my age! Something to look forward too!! Wish you the best!

The funny thing is that Michelle was the third singer they got for this song. Santana originally wanted Tina Turner or Macy Gray to sing it. They were both uncomfortable with the circumstances yet it ended up being the best version!
