Reservation is intended for those who are neglected basic facilities due to social reason. Nowadays this is not found(atleast government provides these, least case scenario), it's is economics which keep people away. What government should do is expand thier coaching facilities and scholarship for various exam. It's true in competitive exam their exists inequality because of money not social things.

If a MBBS graduate is still termed BACKWARD CLASS, tell me who else in this country is NOT a backward class !!??😅 MBBS graduate (who was given UG seat reservation) even after completing the course and securing her/his professional degree and is still categorised as ‘backward’ and is being offered reservation. We are just letting this vicious circle of social injustice to continue and create an even more unfair social system in the future. It’s high time we think about it and restructure the current unfair PG reservation system at least.

We should acknowledge the fact that in a country like India where social discrimination on the basis of caste is still prevalent, reservation is a necessity to ensure equal opportunities to everyone. But here, we are talking about ‘increase’ in reservation for ‘postgraduate’ seats. Now, the total reserved seats for postgraduate courses is nearly 65% and only 35% is open for the general category. All those who are competing for pg entrance exam have already completed their MBBS course and all participants have availed relatively same quality education and have earned the prefix ‘dr’. Exam takes into consideration of only pure knowledge which everyone had an equal chance of obtaining. Utmost 50% reservation is agreeable and is in fact applaudable in a country like India. But more than that feels like taking away the rightful opportunity of general category especially for pg courses.

present reservation system is not creating equal grounds but just reversing the roles. The general category or the so called advantaged community of the past ,which is still the majority in terms of population is now being placed at the marginalized group’s situation.
