I have a 6 year old seedling, so its not far till it starts having fruits. I also have a few 3 year old seedlings. Looks like I will be taking some scions off my old tree this fall, that way my young seedlings can speed up the process

You need to tent the plant or I use pretzel bags and leave the bottom open on the bottom or it will mold. I use cleft or side cleft

We will try that... lack of moisture didn't seem to be a problem with them, but we are always open to experimenting!

Looks great! Thanks for sharing the knowledge you have. I am interested in the grafting tape you are using; can you maybe provide a link? Thanks.

In India, grafting is done using Rayan tree rootstock Manilkara hexandra. Is this tree present in Florida?

Thanks for the multiple examples. I noticed a lot of people bag their sapodilla grafted trees to give an extra greenhouse effect. Any thoughts or experience with this method?

Sounds like a good experiment... we will try a few grafts with both methods to see if there's a difference in survival.

Hey can you graft a seedling to its self

Yes, but girdling might accomplish the same thing (if you're trying to speed fruiting)
