This is the large painting to complement the six small canvases I did recently. Oh man, this technique is hard to translate onto a large canvas! I I think the outcome was really unique and beautiful. I hope you enjoy it!
The inspiring artists on this method, MelyD, Elyse Fournier, Bonnie Keane and Dwight pours. We all use similar ingredients, I love how different all of our paintings are! There are a lot of artists playing with this technique, what makes it unique is that it’s yours! It’s a beautiful thing about art, every artist is inspired by some thing, someone, I think is a great compliment, I hope I inspiring artist feel complemented by my work.

Basecoat:
* 2 parts floetrol
* 1 part artist loft flow white
* 1/4 part Liquatex pm
* 1/2 part satin enamel
* Water to thin
Puddle Paint mixture:
* 1 part paint (less with golden fluids)
* 1/2 part floetrol
* Squirt of liquatex pm
* Water to thin, similar consistency to base
Cloud over mix:
* 1 part floetrol
* 1 part satin house paint
* Touch of satin enamels
* Acrylic paint color if tinted.
* Water to thin

Grand Finale!!! And what a FABULOUS one it was... at one angle when the cells are at the top it resembles a hummingbird with a long tail !! till the 21:06 mark and you extended a blue line.. which took away what was the beak and eye! LOL...and the close up was GORGEOUS and vibrant!!

Thanks Sara for sharing your story with us. I have been watching the artists that you mentioned for a couple of years now but I really don't know why since I'm not really learning how to paint! I just enjoy the end result from all of the different artists. I do paint rocks and I find that really relaxing. You are definitely one of my favorite artist. I love your art it's so amazing and the technique you do is amazing. I think that ring pours are pretty but I really don't see as much talent or creativity as what you do and another awesome artist who I've gotten to know is also amazing. Sara, such a beautiful painting. Everything about it is just amazing. I cannot explain the feeling that it emits but perhaps too it was the music you played with it. I've told you this before that for me, the music you play as we watch you work makes such an impact on me. It's a melancholy sort of feeling but not of sadness but though you'v e called this "Tangled" it brought calmness to me. Indeed the image looks tangled for certain so it is such an appropriate title for it. I hope you sell it for the value I think it holds. Wonderful job, Sara. It was also nice to hear how you became interested in fluid art. The artist talking to the viewers is very important so I really appreciate you letting us know a bit more about you.

Sara your work amazes me! This is absolutely stunning!! I absolutely love watching you work! Thank you so much for sharing a little bit about you in the video. I love learning about the artists that I follow. I also cannot seem to leave a painting alone. Sad that we have to say “ back when we could hang out”. Our world has changed so much but I am thankful that somethings have not changed such as being able to do art work. Like you I have been learning art since middle school and it is a big therapy for me. I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t paint.

It’s never occurred to me to paint over a painting that’s dry. I guess I thought it was cheating, but why would it be. This is amazing. I loved your story. I cannot see how you paint with 3 small girls ! I had 4 at home and understand. I am 84 and didn’t paint till I was in my 40s and started with oil, later moved to pastels and portraits. Now I have discovered pouring and love it. I am interested in the cloud over.. Hi Ann, thank you so much! My five-year-old is in school four days a week, and thank goodness I have both grandmas around But love spending time with the little ones. I feel very blessed to be able to have time to paint, however sometimes I do feel stretched thin, especially when I’m feeling extremely inspired all I want to do is spend time in my studio… LOL thank you for the lovely comment.🙏✨
