Say what you want about the show but it will live on to be remembered as the series that gave women the right to be their full selves and embrace their sexuality. For those complaining about the evolution of the new chapter, it evolved and tried to stay in the times as real people do. It's exactly what it is supposed to be to reflect the lives and growth of the women. Many women who dated men all their lives are now with women and the show has it. People of color (Black, Latinas, Asians) are now part of every dimension of our lives in ways they weren't and the show reflects that. I am absolutely confident that the second season of the new chapter will do just that. The first season of the new chapter was trying to find the right balance because they were trying to turn a new chapter. As anyone knows transition is hard. You will see that the new season will have all those things that you love about the original and some more. If you're a true fan you will still support the show. I definitely will.

Contrary to any debate - I do not think she's fake. I have followed her career since Hocus Pocus, and as I have watched - she's never ever changed any part of who she is, to get people to watch or listen to her. SJP's humble beginnings really stayed with her - and shes a Star !

Okay well I grew up watching SJP (Flight of the Navigator, Footloose, etc.). How she portrays herself in public and what she does behind the scenes are two different things. It s a show that women of all ages can relate to. As a teenager whose "becoming a woman" this show means a lot to me. It details what it is like being a woman in the world post sexual revolution and the women of SITC all embody how you can go through this world. If you are a Samantha you embrace the liberation head on unapologetically, if you are a Carrie you are just a girl with big dreams, if you are a Charlotte you are more old fashioned wishing to pursue family and if you are a Miranda you are a career woman. These 4 archetypes of women in this modern world have been ones that we can all follow and relate to.

Awww this made me really smile and warmed by heart. I appreciate this because I am a huge Sex and the City fan. Carrie Bradshaw's character inspired me her friendship/soulmates, Samantha, Charlotte, Miranda, and even Sanford! was so inspiring you want your friendships/relationships to be the same. I almost forgot that SJP was actually a child star with this insane talent. "Carrie Bradshaw" and her pack/gang of "ride or dies" really paved the way for me I was 12 when Sex and the City came out lol!!!! and when the season ended in 2004 I was on my way to college. I am so glad they did the movies and now this new spin off. The show inspired many young and more seasoned women in the dating market/relationships during this time to be bold, spunky, fearless, fashionable, outspoken, real, have self-love, and take care of yourself. You are ultimately your number one soulmate first before everyone else in your circle falls in line. The men are the bonuses the additions to your fabulosity. So love that they are getting a great reboot is beautiful to see this story play out. 😍😍😍😍♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

@alexd1121 Lol. I just checked the top 10 of the past decade. As of April 2023 it's not on the list. Didn't your mother teach you it's not nice to lie

I know this show meant a lot to many people, but when I watch it I feel it portrays a highly unrealistic life; financially and sexually especially. I think most women don’t actually enjoy or want casual sex, and I feel like the show really romanticized that. Also, to live in NYC as a single person and always being able to afford designer shoes and clothes feels out of touch with reality. But maybe the show wasn’t trying to be realistic. Maybe it was trying to be fun.

SJP still looks young and stunning she actually looks better than me and I’m way younger, I can’t wait to see Kim back 😊

Nice to see Diane Sawyer. She sounded a bit slurred like she did on the November 2012 election.

I love SJP I love ALL THE SATC girls. I adore everything about it. About them. Sure it’s dated but I love it.

The fact that Sara Jessica never saw any of Samantha on her as if Samantha was one dimensional shows the issue . Samantha I don’t think is everyone, however she embraced her sexuality and woman empowerment and strength while trying to hold back vulnerability she always had but was afraid of. And for Sara to not acknowledge that is shady AF

Love SEX and the City. To this day, the one show that I will binge from Season one to The move of Carrie and Big getting married. I will watch every episode as if it was my first. It was the one show that allowed me to see women in a different light; in terms of their sexuality, business, and family life ( with no Filters). It was refreshing and so Inspiring.

I just want Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kim Cattrall to bury the hatchet. So many years together, and yes, resentment, and forgiveness is not always easy, but when you allow pride, and EGO to get in the way, when is it enough. Forgiveness is awesome 🤩 I hope they start healing ❤️‍🩹 and no more empty chairs, she’s missed, and the 4 are the Musketeers of NEW YORK 🗽

SJP 3,500,000 per episode vs 350,000 and when Kim attempted to request 1,000,000 they said no and the TV series ended. For the films SJP received 50% more than the others. Unlike Friends no one on SATC wanted equality. Let's leave Kim who is 67 to other projects where she gets respect and justified recompense.

Don't really think that's gonna happen at this point. Sometimes when you're done with each other you're just done. And SJP is no the only one she created problems with. Jealousy got the best of Kim

@@johniii8147 well that’s extremely sad, that two adults can’t forgive each other, it’s forgiveness, it’s a sad, and depressing way to leave, now you wonder why everyone is walking around on medication. Carrying around pain, and anger is devastating!!

@@iadiramorales68 It's not particularly sad. Sometime you're done with someone and move on. This was all business and money and jealousy. Sometimes you just seperate yourself and move on.
