Like many organizations during this time, the Sarah McLachlan School of Music has pivoted to make sure that we can show up for our kids and our community. One of the initiatives we are starting is a social media challenge called #showushowyoupractise. My staff nominated me to show you how I practise from home! Our main goal is to inspire our kids during these times of solitude to sneak away with their instruments whether it be a keyboard, guitar, bass, uke, drum pad, note pad or their voice, and to know that honouring themselves by committing to daily practice will improve their mental health and spirits.
