And therefore twenty-two when season seven was over and 28 (because there was a year and a half between the end of the series and what the comics called S8) by the end of the comics run. Not an adolescent, no. But anyone in a person's twenties is hardly considered old to anyone other than a child in school. To most people its considered kid age. That wasn't meant as a rant or to sound pompous. If it came out that way sorry. When typing I realized it could be taken that way.

And who said she was a nightmare to work with-that's said about so many actors it has become meaningless. To be honest , i think she has done pretty good-she was a tv star/teen star who had a hit show and had a string of successful movies before her career folded as she got older.She had the typical career any tv star had with even more hits in the movies than average tv star so I think in her hey day she did very well. She never was going to become the next Julia Roberts or Jennifer Aniston but she still had a pretty decent film and tv career from around 97-2004 and even before that she did well on American tv. So she had a pretty decent career spanning around a decade so she's hardly failed. I think too many people here think that if you don't have a high profile life long career on the Sandra Bullock/Jennifer Aniston scale you failed when this is not true at all and people here have unrealistic expectations. Only the minority in the business can remain in the Alist or have great longevity in a high profile career, that doesn't make those who have faded failures by any means. I see people say the same about Meg Ryan/Demi Moore when they were some the most biggest actresses of the 90s yet they are seen as 'failures'.

@@danran1157 I would have loved to see her in some other roles in cable shows and I think she got potential but I understand her family life factored in and she worked in Buffy for seven years and that was intense.

I will watch and buy everything Buffy's merchandise if SMG is back but I don't think stupid Hollywood would take her back because "her age" please! She is so beautiful and hot but maybe if Buffy come back as a watcher for a new slayer and she is still the counselor in the school and she fights arm to arm with the new girl it would be amazing and we will be happy to see her as an adult like us with a job, career and famyly saving the world every single day and though the fact that we grow up our lives changed but no our good taste for such of amazing Master Piece. SheVegan Well to tell stories and bring the fandom to people who might not find it entirely easy to connect to the original television series due to the characters, or time period. The Buffyverse is ours, and if they do a reboot that doesn’t negate the legacy both Buffy and Angel left behind. I was 100% against the Charmed reboot, and from what I hear it’s not very good - but that doesn’t tarnish the original in my eyes.

SheVegan They’ve done a lot with Buffy since the series has ended from the comic continuation to reimagining the characters as elementary school children and even completely rewriting Buffy as a middle school student without Willow and Xander, and with this most recent comic book that reimagines the series if it were set in 2019-2020 I think there’s a lot of potential to grow the Buffyverse and bring these amazing characters and amazing lore to a whole new set of people.

SheVegan I agree! I wish they would just come up with new ideas for movies and tv shows and stop recycling good stuff. New stuff can be good too if done the correct way.

Personally I'd like to see a spinoff series be set far in the future. Where we find out Earth wasn't used up but overrun. And the last Slayer is a girl who was tampered with by the alliance, by the name of river tam

Sadly a part of me wonders if the men of Hollywood don't want to invest in supporting women growing up out of their teens or twenties. It is like the men are emotionally stuck at that age and they just don't want women that are more mature than that around and it's really sick to see because I worked in that industry and music. But now that I am out of it and homebound as a disabled person looking at it from afar I can see so much more clearly how unhealthy the entertainment industry is and how it dragged me down to be sexually assaulted so much at work. My disability started before the me-too movement was really in power and it's really amazing to see how Buffy was so ahead of its time and that's probably why I loved this show and I kind of want to go watch some more Buffy now. I think they should continue it and let her be an adult mature woman that can teach the younger vampire slayer's that would be a really cool idea. Why isn't Buffy allowed to grow older and wiser? I think that would be so cool to see

I dont get how they can say it is just over because that is what they decided. I get it if it is actually Sarah who does not want to do it. I know there are some rumours saying she was tired from having to work so hard all the time, but if she is not the one saying no, then I dont get it at all. It just has so much potential.

Men and women shouldn’t have to feel like crap because they don’t want to do want some rich guy wants him to do. I see so much entitlement and so little maturity in the entertainment industry when for me art was always about expressing how I think and feel with the world and Learning from how others express themselves. Like the things I am working on now for my channel are all about sharing the truth of my life and how I cope. I think we can all learn from people when they are honest about life and the emotional impact it has on us and these emotionally stunted men have held back so much mainstream art from us all because of their immature fantasies. They need therapy and people like Sarah should have more power to do the projects that empower her emotionally because when things are put into artistic forms we can all learn. We all have a story and we can learn from each other if we share things that are true and beyond the teenage fantasies of boys who didn’t grow up. That is why I find myself watching things made by directors that did have more freedom and the projects that become my favs usually had the most respect for the artist. Like Netflix has been amazing to artists which is why I would easily take less money from someone like them before I would consider saying yes to places like news or sitcom crap that is so fake. I’m just fed up with fake crap that is meant to make me feel bad about myself. Why watch that when I can watch healthy people somewhere else that will entertain me AND teach me valuable things. No brainer for me there.
