Clown Pyjamas
After last week’s respectful chat with the great Jimmy Cricket, the gloves are off and it’s time to spew up a gut load of filth with third time RHLSTP (plus guest for three Edinburgh podcasts) Sarah Millican.
But who will win the battle this time? Rich goes into a bit too much detail about a bout of food poisoning that, to be fair, he isn’t entirely finished with. But if fire can’t stop him, then neither can the squits. There’s a lot about poo, vomit, sperm and pleasuring yourself to Henry Kelly and kittens (as you’d expect) but there’s also a chance to find out Sarah’s favourite cruciferous vegetable. Plus find out why the last chapter of her audio book might seem a bit faster than the others, Rich’s skill at taking off bras, the cruelty and redundancy of children and whether workaholism is a positive or negative force for comedy. Plus how Sarah’s dad used his engineering skills to try and solve a tricky conundrum.

I am a psychotherapist, & I have suggested to some clients that they watch Sarah Millican in order to get zome relief from anxiety through laughter. Sarah, you've definitely helped people (me as well as my clients).

38:54. That's when you know you have a good mate. Look at her reaction to HIS reaction to her joke, and then her smile before she gets back on the horse to continue the bit. That's awesome. If you ever notice that in any of your friends, you know you've got a keeper. My heart swelled seeing this.

How long is it between filming and broadcast are these shows ? Sarah mentions her radio show STARTING on 4th of July and it's September the 25th today ! I was under the (wrong !) impression that it filmed a couple of days ago !

Hey dude, I love this interview, it’s so relatable on so many levels, food poisoning is no joke especially when it kicks in when your on the nest. As for bullying, I suffered this through the whole of my school life because I was artistic and musical, I didn’t run round in gangs etc. I can still see the faces of the bastards who made my life a misery. But karma killed 2 of them and took the arm from another.

ok ok you wanna loose weight. Wheetabix x2 and a banana for breakfast. lunch homemade soup with hummus and Rivitas. The evening about 8oz meat ( red meat twice a week only ) with a lot of veg and like three new potatoes. Intersperse the lunch with a hearty chicken salad. The weight drops off.

I love her attitude toward her audience and having a show half-written before tickets go on sale - the whole “who’s coming who are we picking up who’s looking after the baby. That’s respect for the band of humans who come to see you.

Sadly not. The problem isn't that they haven't seen funny women, it's that they are too grumpy about having to listen to a woman for an hour that they can't focus on the humour.

Don’t like her as a comedian, but really like some of the points she made in this interview.

So Sarah still holds a grudge against children that bullied her, and glories that they now have "boring jobs" and "don't stand out", living a conformity that's "fucking dull". It's good that she's learned a lesson about how unpleasant it is as a high status individual to judge and bully others for who they are.

That woman was deliberately mean through their teenage years, then demonstrated as an adult that she had learned nothing, no apology or even acknowledgement, trying to latch on to her now famous "school friend". She thoroughly deserved to be called out for that behaviour.
