Richard had so much fun at the Richmond Theatre that he’s come back again. Sure he’s wearing the same clothes, but a week has gone by and that’s plenty of time to do laundry and dry-cleaning. His guest this week is first series of RHLSTP hero Nick Frost.
They chat about Nick’s amazing, if rather sad autobiography www.amazon.co.uk/Truths-Half-... how his mother took on the boys who bullied Nick (and their mum), a night out with Quentin Tarantino, comeuppance for terrible aeroplane passengers, ghosts, acceptable positioning in a Human Centipede, sharing a single bed with Simon Pegg, punching walls, why Captain Pugwash the movie is unlikely to be made and making a tree famous. It’s a more serious chat than last time, with a remarkable and thoughtful guest who has been through more tragedy than you might have imagined.

I love that moment at 24:24 when Nick moves to take a sip but realizes there is no water in his glass and then proceeds to first pour Richard and then himself a glass.

@@philiprowney I think you slightly misinterpreted my comment. I made it because Nick tried to excuse himself halfway for not being funny and Richard told him that's OK. Overall this one was a bit more on the serious side, so I commented this to agree with these being enjoyable too. Also I didn't choose to be the top comment but apparently some people agreed with this sentiment and it was meant in a positive way.

i saw what I thought was a ghost in the garden when I were a kid, turned out it was a dairy cow eating the flowers my father had just planted (it was pitch black at the time, only the white patches could be seen). Scared the shit outta me until I realised.

Despite loving Spaced and Shaun of The Dead, Paul, and Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. I can often be a bit reluctant to engage with The Frost, Wright, Pegg axis of power (possibly due to a mate being such a fervrent acolyte early on) so when I saw this was gonna be the second interview with Nick Frost I was a bit nonplussed. However, I really enjoyed this podcast. I was a bit worried early on for old Frosty as it seemed his recent book writing might have made him feel a bit down in the dumps but I really like this side of him. I work in a bar at the mo' and I always think about what he said in some interview learning to act whilst working and the more I learn about the man the more it confirms to me he's a hero. It's all about the hard core uk ravers. Xx x x xx

Barnacle Felcher I’m certainly not trying to get a rise out of anyone. I just don’t find Nick Frost funny. He’s never made me laugh and I’ve found his films unwatchable. I don’t see why you need me to like the same stuff as you do. Can’t you just accept that you like him and I don’t? Why is that such a problem? I’m sure there are people that I like and you don’t too, but I’m perfectly fine with that. The jury is still out on whether I am too intelligent or too stupid. You’ll just have to decide for yourself.

em diar it’s more to just see if people generally agree or disagree with me, just to get a feel on what kind of percentage of people like Frost and I was hoping that people might explain why they like him, because maybe I am missing something. He just never seems to say anything that even causes me to break in to a smile. I imagine if my initial comment was expressing that I like him, no one would be asking me why did I comment in the first place, it’s ok to like something but not ok to dislike it? Seems crazy. Only positive comments allowed on youtube. A site where everything is great and everyone likes everything! Wouldn’t that be totally pointless?
