Patsys voice is hard to describe because it is one of a kind that has not been duplicated and probably never will. Just imagine how much more she could have left us if she hadn't died in a plane crash when she was 30 years old

Patsy Cline has one of the best country voices around. Patsy had so many great hits such as "Crazy", "She's Got You", "When I Get Through With You", "So Wrong", "Leavin' on Your Mind", "Walkin' After Midnight", "I Fall To Pieces" "San Antonio Rose", "Blue Moon Of Kentucky", "Half As Much", "He Called Me Baby", "Faded Love", "Imagine That". She was only 31 when she died in a plane crash in 1963. In 1985 Jessica Lange starred in the movie about Patsy's life called "Sweet Dreams.

As a semi-professional singer, I was fortunate to be able to portray Patsy in a theater production, performing 27 of her songs. It was the honor of a lifetime! Over 9 months of rehearsing, she taught me how to pour emotion into a song, and truly move people with one's voice. Since this was near where she lived in Winchester, Virginia, people that knew her/ toured with her came to the show. An amazing experience! I look forward to a duet or two with her in heaven :) Thank you, Sarah, for this video!

A loverly voice an old one but great.If you have the time have a look at Sandy Denny: Who Knows Where the Time Goes? She had a velvet voice.She was an English singer-songwriter who was lead singer of the British folk rock band Fairport Convention. One of my favorite folk bands.Thank you young lady and stay safe.

That's a true classic. Sandy Denny deserves more recognition. Maybe a biopic.

Many times it is difficult to put into words what makes a certain song so great, but many of the words you used were very good -- your words plus expressions spoke very well to the magnificence of Patsy Cline and this song!

Full rich tone. Broad range. Control. But she never shouted or screamed. No vocal gymnastics. So many otherwise good singers could learn a lot from her.

Hmmm..... I was working on an oil rig in the 80s when a workmate, ( Gordon) who was obsessed with heavy metal, which I don't care for, made the snide comment "I suppose you like *%@# like Patsy Kline? Nothing talents or difficult about her singing" I knew a lot less about music then, so I said " Maybe so, but I prefer it to what you like." and got on with my work. He was a nice guy, but I realise now that he had a closed " tribal"mind about music. Maybe, Sarah Dengler, he should have taken a leaf out of your book, and opened his mind before opening his mouth?!! I don't mind people saying that they dislike what I like, but they are wrong to criticise the musicality of a talented performer: Gordon, I hope you're well, but you were talking nonsense when you chose to ridicule Patsy's singing. Great reaction from an open mind, SD

That was Such a vile comment, it's unbelievable how clueless some people can be about good music.
@Jigaboo123456
@Jigaboo123456 2 жыл бұрын
@@SarahDengler Not so much vile( he was an OK guy, but unthinking and yes, "clueless" is definitely appropriate. Your name doesn't heed to be "Sherlock" to see the many musical "clues" scattered all over Patsy's work. When people belittle an obvious talent, it's either cluelessness or an attempt to puff themselves up by trying to belittle others. :-)
