I agree with the other comment they do need more help and motivation. Without the extra help they may have less chance in life. I also think because she lost her mother she lost hope. She had no one to motivate her in the way a mother can, no one to guide her in the way a mother can, no one to help her in the way a mother can. Time stopped the day it stopped for her mum so it’s really sad and I truly hope she has the most amazing life she deserves it

not this girl pretending she has it hard. she gets all the attention. the quiet kids get none just because we dont act up. and then when loud kids are well behaved for a day they are rewarded?! erm excuse me miss i do this every day can i get rewarded? not only that but kids like these tease us may i add usually being quiet proves you have more anxiety than the loud kids and overthink everything, which yes is worse mental health than someone who can go round shouting out in lessons and acting like they own you cause youre not popular. I understand that often louder kids do have issues which lead them to acting up, my point is that when our mental health is not ok we don’t get noticed because we are capable of staying quiet in lessons. i’m back because i’m struggling. it’s a new term, a new year and 4/9 new teachers know my name. they don’t understand what it feels like to be overlooked because they never shut up and i know it’s not a good reason but sitting there crying inside and faking a smile outside is 50% of my life. it’s fun when it’s fun, but it’s getting old and i’m fed up. most teachers don’t know my name and they don’t know how that feels. the headteacher came into our lesson. she came and ask me if anyone was behaving badly. i said yes and she made me tell her. now everyone hates me for “snitching” but what tf did i do wrong? i’m not gonna lie to the head am i. if you didn’t want to get caught then you shouldn’t have behaved badly in the first place. the strange thing is the girls who sit next to me were so proud of me. i was terrified and they supported me. and then we spoke and we said the exact same things that i said in this comment 2 months ago. and it’s strange because we’re all quiet and we all behave and sit back and observe. i think this is related and you can say what you like. my life is pretty dim and i’m bored of being overlooked and given dirty looks to and treated like i’m not as important because i’m not loud. i’m a quiet person, and i always have been, but if anyone gave me a chance they would realise i’m a nice person, i have a loud personality too and i have some good friends because of it. thanks if you read this far it means a lot because i know i’m not the only one experiencing this silence.💘💘💘

As a “bad student”, I do agree to some extent. I’ve been lucky enough to manage to give spectacular results in incidental, one-time, decisive assessments such as entrance exams or job interviews, which have landed me in pretty good jobs. But at the end of the day, my performance still suffered compared to my peers who managed to get good grades consistently throughout school and university. It’s because I didn’t develop a good work ethic, didn’t learn how to be consistent in my results. In the real world, grades do somewhat reflect what kind of worker you are.

A lot of people are thinking why is the worst student getting the best opportunity... She comes from a very tough place, losing your mum at age 6/7 and being raised by an elder sibling; you react and cope in unpredictable ways and it's part of the reason why she believes she has 'no weaknesses' because she's been through a lot. Her personality is, I can do whatever the f**k I want because I've been through more than any of you (at my age)...

that explains her behaviour, it doesn’t excuse it. jsut cos u lost ur mother (no offence) doesn’t give u the right to bend the rules of the school to ur own availability. if she said nothing bothers her then she can fully well come to school on time.
@craiggilchrist4223
@craiggilchrist4223 2 жыл бұрын
No offence but so what? Life is tough and she isn't the only one having tough times. What about the good kids going through tough times but manage to stay respectable, polite and well behaved? Is that not more commendable being able to keep it together when everything around you is falling apart? I know who I would rather employ. Someone that bales at the hint of pressure or someone who will fight on to the end.
@am5783
@am5783 2 жыл бұрын
@@craiggilchrist4223 This!!!!! I grew up severely abused which continued into late teenage years when I left home. Every type of abuse. The first time I tried to kill myself I was 9. By the time I was 11 and just started secondary school I was deep in an eating disorder, constant panic attacks, terrible c-ptsd and deep self hatred and severe depression. The kids at school were awful too. Bullying verbally obviously but a lot of being shoved into lockers, punched, groped, skirt pulled up/down and touched, spat on, had stuff poured over me, told I'm a worthless useless freak and then id go home and get the same treatment and worse. I was even raped in year 9. But I was quiet(because I was so anxious) well behaved, polite and had average grades despite really trying my best and studying as well as I could in my environment. But the kids who would do that stuff to me got great opportunities and I sat there being like why does nobody care about me, why am I so worthless and unimportant that nobody thinks they could take a chance on me and help me achieve too. Lots of kids go through horrific shit, but it's the loud and obnoxious ones that get all the help and opportunities. I understand they need it too, but it often seems to be at the expense of the kids who want to try and better themselves.

@@samuelisaac4374 that's not a speaker lol that's a receiver connected to a microphone she's wearing. As the comment above said, they would have said to her we're gonna film some sort of school documentary (which means them putting a microphone on her and putting cameras on her wouldn't arouse suspicion) then at the end of the show they reveal the reason why they've actually been filming her for. so yeah it's real.

Tbh the education system in itself is absolutely flawed. It failed me notoriously despite getting the best grades in the year. A* in everything but maths. But I didn’t attended for the last two years of high schools at all. I taught myself. And when I left, I had this whole new world of opportunities to discover what I actually liked and who I was as a person because mandatory education suppresses that completely. We need a change and these programs are just highlighting it.
