Maria please watch Simply Nailogical’s video on “magic exploding nail polish remover” or something. She reviewed this type of product and did some research and also gave insight on how it may be dangerous.

I've seen a few videos on how these types of nail polish removers a can be pretty bad for your nails and health. Something about the chemicals in them is pretty risky. It was a couple years ago when I saw the videos, though, so I'm not sure. Might want to research more before using it again.

PLEASE do a gel nail whisper tutorial video. I got my nails done in acrylic for the first time after growing them out just enough (nail biter). While they're great and look amazing they're pretty inconvenient (no one tells you it's near impossible to clasp your bra lol) and I don't want to spend $50 every 3 weeks to get them done lol. I want to do them at home but have no idea how to do 'gel nails'. What better way than to learn from you. They always cut my skin with the buffers and I end up bleeding every time. I would love to learn a way to do it myself. Maria it sounds like you’d love builder/structure gel! They’re designed to do an overlay to strengthen and protect the natural nail, and are a little thicker than top coats. I love Gelish’s structure gel; like you, I use it as a “foundation” before applying regular nail polish or gel color, depending what I’m in the mood for that month🤗

Maria you should try dip nails! There is a whole community of us on FB that do “dip nails” from home and they are awesome! Last a lot longer than gel and you can still do your regular polish on top 😊

You can do regular base coat with regular polish and just do a gel top coat. I've been doing this for a while and it keeps my nails in better shape than when I was doing all the gel layers.

Thats a good idea to do a gel base and just switch out the normal polish on top! Someday if I can get a lamp and gel polish I'll try that
