No the scene isn’t about Tony getting jealous, it’s about Stephanie realizing that Jay took advantage of her and that she’s been putting Tony down the whole time because of her insecurities. Geez some people really don’t get this movie.

I think I know what you are trying to say Tony like Stephanie and she spoke down to him and treated Tony the same way Tony treated the other girl Annette she liked Tony and he had some insecurities of his own.

@@marwatson7408 Tony wasn’t insecure, in fact Tony told Annette exactly how he felt. Sure he was mean to her but that’s not the same as being insecure. If anything Annette was insecure. She just wanted to compete with her married sisters and thought if she married Tony she would have something to brag about. Tony was the complete opposite of insecure.

That's the idealized late 1970s NYC everyone wanted to be a part of. The music, the street energy, the Yankees, Saturday Night Live. Us kids from the Midwest were dying to go there and turn it up.

Tony was being a good friend, he was getting Stephanie to realize that Jay took advantage of her and used her for sex. Stephanie had some demons in her closet.
