They are mocking that huge age gaps are well accepted when the man is 20, 30 years (or even more) older, but that the whole scene becomes very bizarre if the women are older than the men. And of course, they had to add satirical elements (so they put kids there instead of grown-ups) because there is no joke in it if they would have filmed it with men in their 20s as (I assume) Wiig/Strong were in their 30s when they filmed it. So the whole concept is cleary artifical. It's comedy. Calm down trolls.

From Europe here. I work in a multinational company and that was my first impresion of American female collegues. Not about flirting ,but about talking very loud about themselfs and not listening to others. And acting like they know you even if you met 5 min ago. No formalities no politness no nothing...

I think the skit also plays on the stereotypical things women do and say on double dates that are ridiculous and clearly done to get the guys affection. and in order to highlight how silly it is, they had to make the dates something that wouldn't work. this technique is used in literature all the time. hyperbolize the situation in order to see its nonsense

Wait. 6th graders are 12 years old? I thought they are about 6! America is confusing
@VictoriaKarma91
@VictoriaKarma91 9 жыл бұрын
How is that confusing?I'm from Europe and it's the same.1st grade around 6 and so on.Unless kids in your country go to school when they're 1
@st.trinians4935
@st.trinians4935 9 жыл бұрын
***** kids where I live start school when they are 5 and that's called P1 which stands for Primary 1 ( you probably guessed that) then they leave Primary school at the age of 11 and start High School when they are 12 then leave at the age of 15. So yeah, American schools and Europe schools are quite confusing

Lonnie DeSoto Gigi is saying you claim not to understand grades and in the same breath explain how they work. (Which for the record you didn't- in fact in your version 12 year olds should be in H1 (or would it be HS1?) Were that true, it would explain your confusion perfectly)
