A couple years ago I drove my wife back home from the airport following her month-long work trip. She was mad at me. As soon as we got home, she got even madder, because I'd cleaned the house and scrubbed the floors and she couldn't be mad at me for not cleaning in her absence. Her solution was to start moving furniture just to find dirt that she could clean up. Good times.

The instinct clean while you are going to turn into the next planetary origin event... you're not even folding it 😂... But for whatever reason the instinct is "must clean!"
