When I read that he passed away, from cancer, shortly after, I cried (I went through intense cancer treatment 11 years ago. I KNOW how it saps one's strength and energy; not to mention, PAIN! HUGE respect for this man!!) I, then, researched him. His commencement speech at Howard University brought tears to my eyes. He was an intelligent, thoughtful, talented, individual. And THIS skit, will be watched, by me, at least a dozen times each year. RIP🙏 .

The announcement says 'wife and family were by his side' and that's the first mention of her that way . . . They've been engaged a year or so, but he kept his private life private, including his illness, so he coulda gotten married anytime. Some claimed his weight loss was due to a movie role but now it's likely it was due to cancer. Damn shame regardless of all the specs.
