Music is the best healer; nothing like a sweet melody to wash away any pain, emotional or physical. Playing one of all-time favourites “Only You” by Yazoo with Alison Moyet from the early 80’s.
For me personally, the eighties was the last decade in which artists paid more attention to vocals and melodies rather than physical looks; it was a time in which beautiful sentimental ballads were written and created.
Here is the last melody which I performed last evening on FB live before the close of decade shortly before midnight; see you all in the next decade. Happy 2020 New Decade!!! 🥳👍😄🤘🎹🎻🎹

I liked that. Very nice cover. I'm no musician myself but that must have been a difficult song to score for piano- good job! Or to play for nearly 9 minutes. I heard the original Yazoo version with Alison Moyet on a commercial airing here in Canada in December 2021, had a moment of nostalgia for my early 80s days in Middle School, and went looking for it. Found your cover thanks to your comment on that page. Well worth pursuing. As I said, here it is just after midnight on Sunday, December 19, 2021. For the historical record, it has been about -10 and snowing all day, but tolerable to walk in so I did. The new decade is well under way now and, I'm sure you are as aware as any of us, has seen many trials already. I hope that nearly two years on life has treated you well, and will do so again in 2022.

Dear Friend from the cold part of the world, thank you for your kind comment and appreciation. This song is one of my favorite songs from the early 80's and is from a album titled "Upstairs At Eric's"" by Yazoo. Glad you enjoyed the cover, I actually play and sing it with the Double Bass in a 50's blues style accompanied by soft Piano, classical Guitar & Saxophone; I improvised the bass line from there & added the melody. The reason for the lengthy cover is because this was from a Facebook live session, otherwise would have been shorter. Thank you also for the good wishes; I hope you have survived well through the challenging pandemic period and have a peaceful and successful 2022. All the best!!!
