Such an amazing time for Black Metal back then! Back when bands took you for a ride, told a story with heavy melodies and atmosphere. This song reminds me of how great it was when Black Metalers pulled out the Thrash Metal influence and hit hard, fast, but always still, Black.

I truly forgot just how fuckin' awesome this album is until now. An utter masterpiece. IMO the very best Black Metal album ever compiled. This was the very first Black Metal I ever listened to, and from this album onwards I started exploring other Black Metal bands. I credit Satyricon with introducing me to the finest genre of music on this planet. Such a relentless and merciless album- fuckin' awesome- this album is the Shock and Awe of Black Metal.

Even if I may like other types of Metal or of music in general, once I discovered Black Metal that was it, there's nothing like this genre for me, this is the kind of music that was created for me. And this song is pretty much Perfection. Unrelenting and devastating.
